And like the Sun fills every new day with hopes and promises, we design spaces which will radiate the hopes and promises of our clients.

Head by our chief designer Mr Rahin Pavithran, we have been designing spaces since 1999. Originality and innovation has been two of our core values and we’ve stuck true to them by working closely with our clients to arrive at their story.

Palette challenged us to step beyond our usual minimalist approach and explore a more expressive design language. But when colour takes the lead, the details around it matter just as much.

In this living space, the TV console, dining area, warm wood ceiling, sculptural décor and carefully considered lighting come together to create a cohesive setting. Each element complements the other, contributing to the overall composition without competing for attention.

Bringing together pieces sourced from different places, the space reflects how thoughtful choices can find harmony in an expressive design.

Because sometimes, the success of a room lies not in one defining element, but in how everything comes together.

In Palette’s living room, a mustard-yellow bouclé swivel chair brings a playful burst of colour to the warm, textured setting. The furniture, sourced from Esse Furniture, Dubai, was shipped to Trivandrum, while most of the decorative lighting was custom-designed for the space.

Large sliding glass windows open onto a sunlit balcony framed by lush tropical greenery, bringing the outdoors into the living experience.

Every element finds its place in a thoughtful composition where colour, comfort and functionality come together with ease.

A 1,200 sq. ft. apartment in Trivandrum, imagined as a canvas for colour.

When we first encountered Palette, the building was still taking shape. We had a blueprint to work with, a few spatial adjustments to make, and a client with a clear vision: every room should have its own palette, character and theme.

For Ahanas, this was a departure from our familiar design language of minimalism and natural textures. The challenge was to bring together bold, distinct colour stories without letting them compete with one another.

We approached the apartment as an artist’s palette, a space where different colours could coexist, each with its own identity, yet come together as a cohesive whole.

A home imagined like an artist’s palette!

Palette is particularly meaningful to us because it took Ahanas into a design territory we had not explored before.

Our client came to us with a clear love for colour. His brief was unapologetically expressive: every room was to have its own palette, character and theme.

For a studio that has traditionally leaned towards restraint and minimalism, it was an invitation to step outside the familiar—and explore what happens when colour takes centre stage.

This is Palette.

Some collaborations begin with a conversation. This one began with a project.

Our client, based in Abu Dhabi, discovered Ahanas through one of our projects shared on Instagram. That first connection led to our first association with Aravind Unnikrishnan, and eventually to a collaboration that would take us somewhere new.

More on the story behind Palette, soon.
