A Little Trip Back to Childhood
Remember those days when we had just DD One and DD Seven, and every Saturday and Sunday meant waiting for that one movie of the week? The joy of sitting together with the whole family and watching a movie was something truly special.
We’d spread a newspaper, break shingara into the muri, add chanachur, roasted peanuts, chopped onions, green chillies and a generous drizzle of aam-kasundi achar oil—and then sit together, eat, laugh and make a complete mess of it!
No matter how expensive the popcorn at a multiplex is today, it can never quite recreate that feeling.
So today, a few of us friends decided to bring back that little piece of childhood. Muri mixed with aam-kasundi achar oil, chillies, roasted peanuts and shingara, with the rain pouring outside.
For a little while, it felt like we were back in those carefree weekend afternoons, waiting for our favourite movie to begin.
