1. HVAC System Maintenance (3 Times a Year)
Steps:
• Clean or Replace Filters: Every 3-4 months depending on usage and environment.
• Clear Outdoor Unit: Remove leaves, dust and debris from the condenser unit.
• Check for Leaks: Inspect ducts for leaks and get them sealed if needed.
• Schedule Professional Servicing: Thrice a year, get a technician to check refrigerant levels, thermostat function, and internal components.
DM to know the HVAC Consultant’s details for getting the servicing done.
2. Faucet & Tap Maintenance (Once a Week)
Steps:
• Clean Aerators: Unscrew and rinse aerators to remove sediment and mineral build-up.
• Descale with Vinegar: Soak parts in vinegar to break down limescale, especially in hard water areas.
• Check for Leaks: Tighten loose parts and replace worn-out washers or O-rings.
• Polish Exterior: Wipe with a soft cloth and a gentle cleaner to avoid corrosion and spots.
DM to know about the Chemicals required for maintaining the faucets and taps.
3. Drain Maintenance (Everyday Check, Weekly Cleaning)
Steps:
• Use Drain Covers: Place strainers in sinks and shower drains to trap hair and food.
• Boiling Water Flush: Pour boiling water down the drain once a week to clear grease and soap scum.
• Baking Soda + Vinegar: Monthly natural cleaning—pour ½ cup baking soda followed by ½ cup vinegar, wait 15 mins, and rinse with hot water.
• Avoid Dumping Grease/Oil: Always dispose of grease in a container, not down the drain.
Quick Tip: If water drains slowly, act fast—don’t wait for a full clog to form.
Always check with a locally available plumber.
