🌿 Experiencing Living Systems, Not Just Learning About Them

We’re grateful to GRID-INDIA for inviting MiniNature to conduct an experiential session on Living Systems & Interconnectedness.

Through close observation and interaction with a living terrarium, participants explored how different elements of a living system relate to and influence one another.

For us, the session raised a simple but important question:

What changes when ecology moves from something we learn about to something we can observe and experience?

A small ecosystem can reveal a much bigger idea: nothing exists in isolation.

Thirty Days Later…

One month after World Environment Day, the HariMitti MiniNature team returned to Electrosteel to revisit the tiny biospheres lovingly entrusted to their guardians.

The biospheres were thriving—but what truly touched our hearts were the smiling faces of their guardians. Employees proudly shared the small changes they had observed, proving that these miniature ecosystems had become much more than glass jars; they had become living companions.

At HariMitti MiniNature, we believe when we nurture nature, nature quietly nurtures us in return.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Electrosteel for embracing a culture where environmental stewardship and employee well-being grow together.

Did you know that the tea plants that transformed India’s tea industry were once transported in miniature glass ecosystems called Wardian Cases — the early ancestors of modern terrariums?

These self-sustaining plant chambers protected delicate tea seedlings during their long journey from China to Assam in the 19th century. Today, terrariums continue the same legacy of preserving life inside beautiful miniature ecosystems.
