Bhoomi Puja of Bamboo Handicrafts Research and Excellence Centre, Kudal, Sindhudurg Maharashtra

Shri. Narayan Rane, Member of Parliament and Former Union Minister (MSME) Govt. of India laid the foundation stone for the State of the art Bamboo Handicrafts Research and Value Addition Center at Kudal MIDC, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra. Shri. Deepak Kesarkar, Education Minister, Govt. of Maharashtra was present on the occasion.

During the ceremony, Shri. Deepak Kesarkar announced that the building will be constructed by the Public Works Dept. Govt. of Maharashtra, He highlighted that this facility will focus on training and research related to Bamboo Handicrafts, as well as serve as a display space for Bamboo products. He emphasised that this is the first of its kind state of the art facility for Bamboo Handicrafts and Research in the country and expressed pride that it is being established in Sindhudurg district he further stated that the women bamboo artisans from this region will be benefited on a large scale after operational of this facility.

Sanjay Vengurlekar, (BJP Kudal Mandal President) Shri. Rupesh Pavaskar, (Shiv Sena District Organizer), Shri. Bunty Tulsakar, Shri. Arvind Karalkar, Shri. Rupesh Kande, Shri. Mohan Sawant, Shri. Sanjay Bhogte, Adv. Amol Samant and other dignitaries, community leaders and representatives from political parties were also present for the occasion.
