Architects and AI.

As AI rapidly becomes part of creative workflows across industries, architecture and design practices are also beginning to explore its possibilities. At Habitat Architects, we see AI not as a replacement for architectural thinking, but as a tool that can support efficiency when used with responsibility.

Architecture operates at a unique scale of permanence. The spaces we design shape the way people live and experience the built environment for years to come. We believe this technology must always remain guided by human judgment as architectural responsibility is our priority.

As a practice, we are interested in embracing the possibilities of AI thoughtfully, extracting its value where relevant while remaining conscious of the larger accountability that architecture demands.

Grounded in tradition and designed for today.

The Richville Drive-Thru in Ludhiana reinterprets the spatial logic of the vernacular Indian marketplace through a contemporary architectural lens. Conceived as an open and accessible retail environment, the project moves away from the enclosed, energy-intensive model of conventional malls and instead embraces natural movement, permeability and the familiarity of organic public space.

The planning prioritises walkability, interaction and climatic responsiveness, creating a retail experience that feels both intuitive and connected to its context. Vehicular access is seamlessly integrated into the design, allowing contemporary convenience to coexist with the social character of the traditional marketplace.

This dialogue between vernacular sensibilities and modern precision is also reflected in the architectural language of the façades, where exposed masonry, steel and glass come together to shape a grounded yet contemporary visual identity.

Swipe through to explore the groundscape, façade language and the evolving vision behind the project. Currently under construction, the project reflects our vision for a more responsive and community-oriented future of retail.

Making the Vision Tangible

The Richville drive-through is currently taking shape as part of a larger mixed-use commercial intervention. Conceived as a contemporary rethinking of retail access, the design integrates seamless vehicular movement into the spatial experience, creating a typology that is both efficient and experiential.

More than a functional insertion, it reflects a broader vision of retail as an accessible and responsive urban environment, where movement convenience and design come together with precision.
Currently under ex*****on, the project represents the translation of architectural intent into built reality.

Watch the reel for a closer look at the ex*****on phase, as our site team, alongside Zafar Choudhary, closely reviews the construction in progress.

Built to shape the skyline.

More than a mixed-use development, this project is an exercise in urban curation. A composition of towers that bring together commercial, retail and hospitality programs to shape an elevated public experience.

Conceived as a placemaking landmark for Gurgaon, the architecture explores how built form can transform a site into a destination. The towers are ambitious in scale, deliberate in intent and designed to redefine luxury within the urban fabric.

Swipe through to experience the spatial language and the environment it brings to life.

“Music is liquid architecture; architecture is frozen music.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

This project gives form to that idea through a façade that becomes its defining expression. Sleek, fluid and forward-looking, its visual language is shaped by rhythm and movement where every curve and contour contributes to a larger architectural composition.

More than an envelope, the façade establishes the project’s identity. It introduces a sense of sophistication and precision that reflects the contemporary ambition of these towers, shaping a presence that redefines Gurgaon’s evolving urban skyline.

It is architecture composed with the discipline of structure and the grace of melody.

Swipe through to experience the rhythm of its curves.

The work behind the work.

Before architecture is built, it is questioned, tested, redrawn and refined within the studio.
This is where ideas are challenged through dialogue, where precision is shaped through iteration, and where individual thought comes together as collective vision. Every project is the outcome of a team deeply engaged in the process, sketching, debating, detailing and pushing design forward with intent.

Our studio thrives on collaboration, rigour and a shared commitment to thoughtful architecture. It is this culture of process and persistence that transforms concepts into spaces with clarity and purpose.

We’re looking to grow our team.

Beyond the idea of home.

Residential architecture is never singular in its response. Each scale of living demands its own architectural inquiry, shaped by context, program and the nature of inhabitation itself.

Large estates, in particular, call for more than scale alone. Their design lies not in excess, but in curation where every spatial gesture must contribute meaningfully to, experience and function. The challenge is to transform abundance into intention.

This project is conceived as a microclimate of its own. A carefully composed habitat where architecture engages with light, water, earth, wind and landscape as active design elements. More than a residence, it is an ecosystem of living, designed to nurture both scale and sensitivity.

Explore the project and experience architecture as micro habitat.

Rethinking Responsibility.

What does responsible architecture demand today?

In this article, Monika Choudhary reflects on reimagining sustainability within the current architectural context and the principles that have informed Habitat Architects’ practice over the decades.

Responsibility in architecture extends beyond the boundaries of the site. It engages with larger questions of environmental sensitivity, resource consciousness and the social impact of the spaces we shape. It is not simply about building efficiently, but about designing with foresight, creating architecture that responds meaningfully to both people and place.

Tell us in the comments, what responsibilities you believe architects must remain mindful of. Read the full article on our website.

Before architecture is complete.

A construction site is architecture in its rawest state, measured, layered and gradually brought into form. It is where precision emerges from apparent disorder, where drawings translate into structure through process, craft and constant refinement.

Between scaffoldings, material massing, finishing, and detail resolution, the built idea slowly comes to life. This clubhouse, now in its final stages of completion, offers a glimpse into that transition, where architecture exists not as a finished image, but as an evolving act of making.

It is here, amidst the unfinished, that design reveals its discipline.
Swipe through for a look at architecture before perfection.
