The first bedroom on the upper level takes on a softer palette, balancing warm timber detailing with muted blush tones and upholstered wall panels. Positioned beside the balcony, the room feels gently connected to the outside, with natural light filtering through and softening the material palette further.

Its ensuite bathroom continues the quieter approach. Wrapped in softly veined stone with restrained brass detailing, the space relies on texture, proportion and daylight rather than contrast. The result is calm and understated, allowing the materials to hold attention without feeling overstated.

This upper-level lounge shifts the mood entirely. Wrapped in darker wood tones and softer lighting, the space feels more intimate than the rest of the home—designed less for entertaining and more for unwinding at the end of the day. The compact bar anchors the room, its crushed metallic finish catching light softly and bringing a tactile richness to the otherwise deep material palette. Sculptural lighting and reflective surfaces add just enough drama without disturbing the room’s quieter character.

Positioned beside the glazing and connected to the larger upper-level family area, the lounge balances warmth with openness. Leather seating, layered rugs and the darker finishes make the room feel cocooned, yet never closed off. Even here, the home’s larger design language continues subtly—the emphasis on texture, crafted details and fluid movement between spaces remaining constant throughout.

The upper-level bar introduces a sharper, more social energy into the home. Clad almost entirely in green stone, the space feels monolithic at first glance, but sculptural lighting and reflective surfaces keep it from becoming heavy. Positioned beside the family lounge and overlooking the double-height volume beyond, it becomes less of a standalone corner and more a continuation of how this level is meant to be experienced—open, relaxed and interconnected.

Just alongside it, the powder room takes the same material confidence into a more intimate setting. Dramatic veined marble wraps across the walls, vanity and shelving in a near-seamless sweep, creating a space that feels immersive despite its compact footprint. Brass detailing and softer textures temper the intensity, allowing the material palette to remain rich without tipping into excess.

The upper-level family room sits between two very different energies. On one side, it looks into the double-height living room below; on the other, it stretches toward the deck, with sliding glass panels drawing in light and air.

The chandelier drifts past at eye level here, no longer just an object in the void but part of the room’s atmosphere. Marble flooring keeps the material continuity intact, while softer seating and layered textiles temper the openness of the space.

It’s a room designed for lingering—close enough to the drama of the void, yet calm enough to retreat into.

From the upper level, the double-height living room reveals its full scale. The marble flooring reads almost like a canvas from this vantage point, while the chequered pattern from the foyer slips quietly into view below.

The sculptural chandelier suspended through the void becomes the focal point here. What feels delicate up close reads architectural from above—its looping form softening the vertical drop and drawing the eye between levels. Glass balustrades and curved edges keep the transition fluid, allowing the volume to feel open rather than imposing.

Seen from here, the space is less about individual elements and more about how they hold together—light, material and height working in quiet sync.

The dressing area at feels like a quiet pause between bedroom and bath. Patterned veneer wraps the island in a way that almost reads like fabric, while grey-toned cabinetry with brass pulls keeps everything understated and composed. It’s not showy—just well considered, with storage and surfaces exactly where you need them.

The ensuite follows the same mood. Marble underfoot and along the vanity brings in weight, but fluted detailing and warm timber above soften the edges. Frosted glass and brass accents catch the light gently, and daylight filters in just enough to keep the space calm rather than stark. It’s private, tactile, and designed for the slower rituals of the day.

The home follows a contemporary aesthetic infused with artistic influences. Clean lines and modern planning form the base, while sculptural lighting, custom artworks, and organic forms bring in character and warmth. Botanical motifs, curved furniture profiles, and tactile surfaces soften the overall composition, giving the interiors a distinct, curated feel that is both modern and soulful.

The design was planned as a natural extension of the architecture and thelifestyle of the residents. Being an urban home, it was important for the
interiors to feel calm and insulated from the city’s pace. Natural light, spatial flow, and proportions guided the placement of functions, while the palette and textures were chosen to create a sense of warmth and continuity throughout the home

Smart zoning and fluid circulation were central to the planning. Curved layouts help soften the geometry and improve movement, while integrated storage keeps the spaces visually light. Layered lighting ambient, task, and accent has been used strategically to enhance depth and highlight key design elements
without overwhelming the space.
