About "Mitty"

Today, when I sit and look back, it has been 20 years since I am trying to understand, Learn and Teach the Art of Clay, popularly known in our India as " Mitti ki Kala" (Pottery). Over the time, I have realized and analyzed that humans have a natural bent and tendency towards "Mitty”, as for the universal fact that Human body and Earth aka "Mitty" is made of the same five constituen

ts (Panch – Tatva). It has been proven that while learning to craft "Clay", students from all age group get attached to our unique culture and start to reflect and portray internal thoughts and emotions via the natural channels. I myself have seen and experienced numerous heartwarming and positive changes in their behavior while they take this learning as part of their play. Some of my physiotherapist students have appreciated the fruitfulness of "Mitty Kala” (Pottery). Kids become focused and parents will notice the changes that this art can bring about in the Mental and Physical development of the child and learn to be able to concentrate more on their work. Pottery, is a work of utter concentration, patience, and creativity that develops over time with practice, interest and the same learning starts to shine with the academics and in other facets of the life of a child. Let kids and yourself free with Mitty. Be their partners and source of encouragement to enable them with the knowledge of “Mitty Kala” (Pottery). Let their expressions flourish and enhance, and sit and experience the enjoyment and delight that “Mitty” brings about in their life. I believe, “Mother’s lap and touch of Mitty (Soil) bestows completeness in every soul.”
