This year’s panel looked different - a younger, more diverse set of voices compared to the seasoned lineup last time. One half of the conversation was about ambition and what pulls you up early on. The other half was about arrival - people already living what the room was chasing.

Two different stages of the same journey, in one room. A good reminder to see where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re headed.

Every surface has a story, if you let it.
A hand-painted landscape unfolds across a dining wall. The Ashtamangala finds its way into a stairwell, gilded and quiet. Plasterwork runs ceiling to ceiling, shell and scroll repeating like a held note.

This is what we mean by details that don’t shout - they linger.

Every curve, texture, and glow in this space was placed with purpose from the sculpted brass shelving to the soft niche lighting that sets the mood. This is what happens when hospitality design goes beyond aesthetics and becomes an experience.

The Architect Speaks

We didn’t begin by designing a hotel. We began by understanding the landscape that would hold it. When AND Studio received the brief for Hyatt Regency Dehradun, the Shivalik range became the starting point - shaping the building’s horizontal mass, the Sal forest informing its material palette, the Doon Valley guiding its transparency, and the golden hour influencing its orientation.

Dhajji-craft partitions reference Uttarakhand’s heritage, while Chaap wood, beaten brass and expansive glass connect the interiors to their surroundings. Across 268 rooms and every shared space, the intention remains the same: to create thresholds that open outward and allow the landscape to remain present.
