Save the post before you loose it .Most people hire an interior designer once in their life. 🏡

Which is exactly why the wrong questions get asked — and the important ones don't. Five things worth settling before your first meeting 👇

1. Be clear with your budget. Share a real number, not a vague range. A designer can work brilliantly within a limit — but not around a secret. Keep 10–15% aside for what comes up on site.

2. Decide what kind of home you want. Full home or key rooms first? Staying five years or forever? That one answer changes material, spend and design entirely.

3. Know where you would stretch. If the budget has to give, what goes first? Decide calmly now, not halfway through when the pressure is on.

4. Decide how much supervision you want. Someone on site daily costs more than weekly visits. Both are valid — just ask for the level you want, and expect it priced in.

5. Be honest about your own time. Slow approvals delay more projects than slow vendors do. If you can't review within a few days, say so upfront and we'll plan for it.

Being a designer, I’m a little finicky about keeping a place looking tidy. 😄

But today, when I was a little less occupied, I had this thought I really wanted to share with all the moms:

Let your child’s room be. Let them mess it up. Let them create, play and make it their own. ❤️

Because one day, sooner than you think, they’ll be off to college… and you’ll miss those messy rooms more than you ever imagined.

Sometimes, a little mess is a beautiful part of growing up. ✨
