Magnificent brass sculpture of Hindu Goddess Deep Lakshmi standing atop an exquisitely crafted elephant .

An auspicious element in Hindu tradition, The Deepalakshmi is a representation of the Goddess Lakshmi, holding a lamp or a 'deep' (diya) in her hands and protected by the 5 headed Naag.

Traditionally featuring a lamp that is lit using cotton wicks dipped in oil, Deeplakshmi is a symbol of good luck and prosperity, and the light that guides one in times of darkness and adversity.

The sculpture measures:

Hand Crafted by artisans from Uttar Pradesh, India, this 9 compartment K*m K*m box is a gorgeous piece of Vintage art.

Crafted in brass, this exquisite box has a Majestic central peacock and 9 delicately crafted peahens atop each compartment.

Such hand made ornate k*m k*m boxes or " Chopra " as originally known, were used by ladies of royalty for storing make up and other fashionable items such as eyeliners, vermilion or sindhoor ( The red pigment used by married Indian women ) and "Bindis" - large colourful dots of cloth for their forehead.

Open by unscrewing the central peacock.

A collectors item and a great conversation starter!

Exquisite brass sculpture of the hindu god Bal Krishna dancing with his left arm and leg raised in delight holding a butter ball.

Handcrafted in brass with a copper and gold patina, Krishna is seen wearing a decorative belt around his waist and a typical mischievous smile playing on his lips.

Krishna is the Divine cow herder fondly known as 'Balakrishna' and is the 8th avatar or incarnation of Lord Vishnu, most loved and famous for his mischievous acts as a child and his role with Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita.

A collectors items indeed!

One of the many faces of Lord Shiva - The Supreme God who protects, creates and transforms the universe.

This majestic sculpture of Shiva in a rich dark brown patina has been casted in solid brass by skilled artisans from the South of India with exquisite engravings.

Lingams have been worshipped for thousands of years as a representation of Shiva and the art form eventually evolved to include cast metal lingam covers known as "Mukhalingams", as powerful and venerated as the objects they covered and literally translates as 'lingams with a face.
