How to Make Simple Bhindi Sabzi | Gujarati Home-Style Recipe
Ingredients
Okra (Bhindi) – 250 grams
Oil – 2 tablespoons
Mustard seeds – ½ teaspoon
Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
Asafoetida (Hing) – a pinch
Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
Red chilli powder – ½ teaspoon
Coriander–cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
Salt – to taste
Method
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
Add chopped okra and sauté on medium flame.
Add all spices and salt. Mix well and cook until the okra becomes soft and slightly crispy.
Serving Tip
Serve hot with roti, paratha, or dal-rice.

1. Mint Pani (Green Water)
Ingredients:
Fresh mint leaves
Coriander leaves
Green chili
Ginger
Roasted cumin powder
Black salt
Lemon juice
Water
Method:
Grind all the ingredients into a smooth paste.
Add water, mix well, and adjust salt & lemon as needed.

Tamarind
Jaggery

Method:
Soak tamarind, jaggery, and ginger in water.

Method:

Method:

Method:

4 Paneer Recipes That Every Cheese Lover Will Crave!
🧀 1. Gujarati Paneer Masala
Ingredients
Paneer – 200 g (cubes)
Onion – 2 (finely chopped)
Tomato – 3 (pureed)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Green chilli – 1
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Oil / Butter – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Fresh coriander – for garnish
Method
Heat oil/butter in a pan, sauté onions until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilli, cook well.
Add tomato puree and all spices, cook till oil separates.
Add paneer cubes and a little water, simmer for 5–7 minutes.
Garnish with coriander and serve hot.
🧀 2. Paneer Tawa Masala
Ingredients
Paneer – 250 g
Capsicum – 1 (sliced)
Onion – 1 (sliced)
Tomato – 2 (chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Tawa masala – 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Butter / Oil – 2 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Method
Heat butter on a tawa, sauté onion and capsicum.
Add ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes, cook till soft.
Add spices and paneer cubes, toss well.
Cook on high flame for 2–3 minutes.
Finish with lemon juice and serve hot.

Ingredients
Crumbled paneer – 200 g
Onion – 1 (chopped)
Tomato – 1 (chopped)
Green chilli – 1
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Method
Heat oil, sauté onion and green chilli.
Add tomato and cook till soft.
Add spices and crumbled paneer.
Mix well and cook for 3–4 minutes.
Serve with toast or roti.

Ingredients
Paneer – 250 g (large cubes)
Capsicum & Onion – cubed
Curd – ½ cup
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

Chaat masala – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Method
Mix curd, spices, lemon juice, oil and salt.
Marinate paneer and vegetables for 30 minutes.

4 Types of Perfect Sukhdi You Must Try This Winter
1. Traditional Sukhdi
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup desi ghee
1 cup jaggery (grated)
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)
Method
Heat ghee on low flame and roast the wheat flour until golden and aromatic.
Switch off the flame, add jaggery and mix well until it melts completely.
Add cardamom powder, mix nicely, spread in a tray, level it, and cut once warm.
2. Dry Fruit Sukhdi
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup desi ghee
1 cup jaggery (grated)
1/2 cup mixed dry fruits (cashew, almond, pistachio – chopped)
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
Method
Roast wheat flour in ghee on low flame until golden.
Turn off the flame, add jaggery and let it melt.
Add dry fruits and cardamom powder, mix well, spread in a tray, and cut into pieces.
3. Jaggery Sukhdi (Gundarwali Style)
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup desi ghee
1 cup jaggery (grated)
2 tablespoons edible gum (gond)
1 teaspoon dry ginger powder
Method
Fry edible gum in ghee separately and crush it coarsely.
Roast wheat flour in ghee, then turn off the flame and add jaggery, fried gum, and dry ginger powder.
Mix well, set in a tray, and cut into pieces.

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup desi ghee

Method

Ingredients
Besan (gram flour) – 1 cup
Curd (yogurt) – ½ cup
Salt – to taste
Green chilli – finely chopped (to taste)
Water – as needed to make batter
Method
Add besan, curd, salt, green chilli, and water to a bowl. Mix well to make a smooth, pourable batter.
Heat a pan/tawa on medium flame and lightly grease it.
Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently to form a thin chilla.
Cook on medium heat until golden and crispy on both sides.

Ingredients (Perfect Measurements)
For Khaman Batter
Chickpea flour (Besan) – 1 cup
Sour curd / Buttermilk – 1 cup
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Water – ½ cup
Salt – to taste
Sugar – ¼ tbsp
Ginger–Green chilli paste – 1 tbsp
Fruit salt (Eno) – 1 tbsp
For Tempering
Oil – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Sesame seeds – 1 tsp
Green chillies – 2 (slit)
Water – ¼ cup
Sugar – 1 tbsp
For Garnishing
Grated cheese – ½ cup
Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
Fresh coconut – 2 tbsp (grated)
Method (Clearly Numbered)
In a bowl, add chickpea flour, curd, lemon juice, water, salt, sugar and ginger-chilli paste. Mix well.
Prepare a smooth, lump-free batter.
Heat a steamer.
Add fruit salt to the batter and gently mix.
Immediately pour the batter into a greased tray and steam on high flame for 12–15 minutes.
After steaming, let it cool slightly and cut into square pieces.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and green chillies.
Add water and sugar, bring to a boil and pour this tempering evenly over the khaman.
Garnish with sev, coriander and grated coconut.
Tips
Do not over-mix the batter after adding fruit salt, otherwise khaman won’t be fluffy.
Always steam on high flame for perfect texture.
