Unpopular opinion - A simple bedroom that is thoughtfully designed is a good design.

This bedroom isn’t white because minimalism is trending. It’s white because that’s who our client is. They wanted a calm, low-maintenance space that felt effortless to live in every single day.

At Studio Sanah Patel, we don’t believe every home should look the same. We believe every home should feel like the person living in it.

Before we choose a colour, material or texture, we first understand how you live. Do you prefer simplicity over visual clutter? Do you need finishes that are easy to maintain? How do you use your bedroom every day? These behavioural patterns shape every design decision we make.

That’s why no two bedrooms we design will ever look alike. Every space is a reflection of the people who live in it—not our signature style and certainly not the latest trend.

How we translated our design philosophy into our own studio.

Designing our own studio was perhaps our most honest project. There was no client brief, no Pinterest board to impress, and no trends to follow. There was only one question:

If our studio reflected everything we believe about design, what would it look like?

At Studio Sanah Patel, we believe good design begins with understanding people before spaces.

How someone moves through a room.
Where conversations happen naturally.
How light influences mood.
How materials feel over time.
How a workspace can inspire creativity while remaining calm and functional.

These questions shaped every decision we made.

Yes, we chose warm materials and timeless finishes—but aesthetics were never the starting point. They were the result of designing around human behaviour, daily experiences and longevity.

For us, timeless design isn’t a style.

It’s creating spaces that continue to serve the people who use them, adapt to changing lifestyles and feel just as relevant years later as they do today.

Our studio is more than our workplace.

For this Pune home, we transformed a basic builder-finished kitchen into a luxury acrylic modular kitchen with a clean, timeless aesthetic. The high-gloss pastel acrylic shutters create a seamless premium finish, while the tandem drawers maximize storage and ensure effortless organization for daily use.

One of the highlights of this project is the compact mandir unit, thoughtfully integrated into the kitchen without disrupting the overall design. We also designed a dedicated display (doll) unit, adding a personal touch while maintaining a clean, clutter-free look.

Every detail—from the concealed storage, premium hardware, granite countertop, under-cabinet lighting, and built-in appliances to the well-planned drawer layout—was designed to create a kitchen that is elegant, functional and built to last.
