Wockhardt Hospitals in Rajkot approached us to develop a state-of-the-art Oncology Facility dedicated to Linear Accelerator Radiation Treatment, within their existing hospital premises. This cancer-care facility was designed from ground up, with careful attention to clinical workflows, patient care, and stringent AERB Radiation-shielding norms.
The layout includes a Linear Accelerator Radiation Chamber, Control Console Room, Shield Corridor, and auxiliary spaces, ensuring seamless functionality.
Structurally, the facility incorporates specialized Radiation-shielding with a 900-mm RCC Base Raft, both 1400-mm and 2500-mm-thick RCC Walls and RCC Slab in the Radiation Chamber, supported by clinical MEP systems.
Interiors follow a minimal, functional approach with a neutral palette. Sustainable Materials include Stone Veneers and Reclaimed Wood, balanced with hygiene-certified moisture-resistant Modular Ceilings and Anti-fungal, Anti-bacterial Paints.
Controlled Energy-efficient lighting, ergonomic planning, and bespoke ART installations inspired by Human Forms and Nature, play a central role in the design, in terms of the abstract murals of HEALTHY Red Blood Cells in the waiting area and two canvas works โ โEchoes of Peaceโ โ at corridor ends, symbolising Zen / peace of mind, in cool blue tones.
