I am Sompi an art practitioner, designer and founder of Needle. is an online shopping forum for art and craft products. I mostly design all the products myself with work inputs from women from villages close by. They learn stitching, sewing, drawing and designing from me and earn money as well. I love the beauty of colours, textures and specially the skills of craftsmanship, so I try

hard to put all the positive vibes I get from them and give a new life to the handmade products which can stay close to your heart. Needle products are embodied by the rural spirit with urban finesse and are also hardy. I have been making bags as well as home decor items like upholstery, curtains, cushions, mattresses, wall hangings and gift items within your budget. Recently, I am making fabric ornaments as a statement accessory. I keep my productions limited for its exclusivity with strict quality control. I dream of a space where people can find a fine selection of utility and ornamental products, designed in a way that couples tradition with modernity. I believe in eco friendliness as also not to take a part on chemical pollution, so I prefer hand-loom and cotton materials. Customers are advised to kindly go through the details given below to place an order.

4. Mode of payment :
a) For orders and customized products, advance while ordering and balance amount to be paid in full before delivery. b) For orders of available products off the page, full payment in advance. c) Payment can be made through bank-transfer and paytm. d) Delivery is available globally at actual shipping costs.

5. It is also possible to pick up your products either from Kolkata or Santiniketan with prior appointment.

we transformed from beginners to full time professionals, she became a mother and homemaker, we built our houses in Santiniketan, she's also a Co- founder of and a yoga instructor, Kalari practitioner, Fire dancer and many more in the genre of performing arts.
It was a lovely day together.

She's running a design and production unit in Santiniketan, West Bengal.
She's is specialized in Shibori, Natural Dye, Baltic, Kantha embroidery, weaving and textile art. Best part is she's also a very good teacher. I love her work and her journey towards creative fulfillment.
