So what kind of traveller are you? The one who carries 3 changes for 1 day or a simple backpack for 10 days. We think a balance is required when you are planning to visit Japan.

While it has incredible public transportation in the form of trains, subways and buses, you don't get escalators everywhere. Plus, the taxis are terribly expensive. There is a formidable city to city luggage forwarding service available across Japan but that also comes at a good cost.

We suggest whichever season you choose to visit Japan, pack light, travel light, so that you enjoy more and carry less.
