Meghalaya scientist Dr Jeremy Dkhar has been selected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) for 2026 under the Agricultural & Plant Sciences category.

A resident of Mawlai Iewrynghep, Dr Dkhar is currently a Principal Scientist at CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology (CSIR-IHBT), Palampur. He holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from IIT Roorkee and a PhD in Botany from NEHU, Shillong.

His selection recognises his contributions to agricultural and plant sciences and places him among scientists selected for NASI’s 2026 membership.
