An accomplished bromide portrait by M. F. Pithawalla, depicting a seated female figure rendered with clarity and restraint. The sitter is presented with a composed and dignified presence. Tall Standing Male Ancestral Figure
Wood, Western Africa, circa 1900s

A tall standing male figure with a strong frontal presence, defined by deeply set eyes, direct cuts, and an aged surface developed through time and handling. Group of Four Hand-Blown Green Glass Demijohns
Bottles, c.1850s - 1930s.

A set of four hand-blown glass demijohns in deep olive-green, each varying in scale and form with applied narrow necks and subtly irregular bodies characteristic of workshop production. Traditionally used for the storage and transport of wine or oil.

Surface bubbles, waviness, and natural asymmetry are consistent with age and handmade manufacture.

Attributed Takeshi Nii - Nychair-X with Ottoman, Japan, c.1970.

A rare and iconic folding lounge chair embodying the essence of Japanese modernism — celebrated globally for its balance of engineering precision, ergonomic comfort, and minimalist beauty. Designed by Takeshi Nii (1920–1991) in collaboration with Danish designer Makoto Shimazaki, the Nychair-X became a landmark in 20th-century furniture design, merging Japanese textile mastery with Scandinavian functionalism.

Originally conceived as a democratic object - strong, comfortable, lightweight and easy to move - the chair folds seamlessly into a compact form, reflecting Nii’s philosophy that good design must live with people, adapt, and endure. Today it is considered a collector’s masterpiece, featured in major design museums and coveted worldwide.

This example, attributed to Takeshi Nii, retains its original character, with age-borne patina on both fabric and chrome, and includes the original ottoman, making the pair an unusually complete survival.
