Many times there is a stigma in the knitting community against using a domestic knitting machine. It is deemed as the "easy way to knit". Customers also raise an eyebrow with a smirk to signal, it's not really handmade, is it?
It takes a lot of muscle and brain power to create the patterns and fix the dropped stitches without losing your sanity while keeping an eye on the row counter.
