As designers at KAANCH, we draw inspiration from a multitude of sources, ranging from nature and art to culture and technology. One of our primary sources of inspiration is nature, beautifully reflected in our NIRVA lighting element. Inspired by a blooming summer flower, NIRVA is a sculptural lighting piece designed for dining spaces, where nature’s elegance transforms into a functional work of art.

Crafted with handmade brass-finish metal, blown glass, and crystal accents delicately placed at the ends of each floral form, NIRVA embodies the beauty, intricacy, and fluidity of natural forms while blending traditional craftsmanship into a contemporary expression. The interplay of material, light, and texture creates a visual rhythm that enhances the spatial experience.

Designed for Architects Narendra Bhai Joshi of KN Associates for client Mr. Hemant Vachhani, NIRVA reflects our philosophy of creating lighting that transcends mere functionality. At KAANCH, we strive to transform spaces into experiences that captivate and inspire, blending timeless craftsmanship with innovation to create pieces that are both aesthetically meaningful and emotionally resonant.

Neel (नील), derived from Sanskrit, means “blue”—symbolizing depth, serenity, and vastness, much like the sky and ocean.

Designed as a site-specific art installation for the central courtyard of Cosmos Industries’ corporate office, Neel brings this essence into a spatial context. The installation features hand-blown borosilicate glass elements in deep blue tones, each oval form contributing to a fluid, organic composition that enhances the visual and emotional quality of the space.

Measuring 17 ft in length, 6 ft in breadth, and 20 ft in height, the installation is suspended using SS wire ropes, creating a sense of lightness and vertical continuity. Its organic form introduces softness while maintaining a sense of discipline—reflecting the balance inherent in a construction-led environment.

Developed in collaboration with Architect Karmavir Ghatge & Associates, Neel transforms the courtyard into a striking focal point, where craftsmanship, scale, and light come together to define the spatial experience.
