The Crossboundaries explores new realms in design; borrowing from the synergy of aesthetics, design, ideologies and culture. While the principal practice mainly handles the architectural projects, the newer off-shoot - The Crossboundaries takes up varied challenges in interior design, furniture, lighting and products – crafting out spaces and styles suiting contemporary needs and perceptions. e there is no right or wrong in design - other than spaces or objects that do not 'function' well - there is a certain inherent quality to a 'designed' space that separates the brilliant from the banal, the magnificent from the mediocre, the extraordinary from the ordinary. It is often this little factor that makes a big difference to the creative output of a designer. The inherited wealth of talent and the acquired benefits of right exposure to global design ideas - seem to have worked together to create that little factor in the work of Ar. An unassuming simplicity and fluidity of design thinking marks the interior spaces designed by him - and is seen in all the details too; the walls, the floors, the furniture, and the lighting! Art, an integral part of an interior does not seem as an add-on, but is woven into the very essence of the scheme and seems to flow with the decor.

The most thoughtful detail in this apartment is the mandir door.

In compact homes, an open mandir can sometimes become the visual focal point of the entire space. We wanted to create a solution that felt calm, balanced, and intentional.

So we designed a mandir door with a subtle central slit that allows light, fragrance, and a sense of presence to gently flow through the home while maintaining a soft sense of privacy. Delicate bells add a traditional touch without overpowering the overall design.

Sometimes, it's the smallest details that make the biggest difference. A thoughtful balance of spirituality, functionality, and aesthetics.

A bedroom that doubles as a rehearsal studio.
Not more furniture, more freedom.

This modern bedroom design is built for movement. With an open, uncluttered layout, it transforms into a dance rehearsal space at home. A full mirror wall creates a true home studio feel, while a light white bedroom palette keeps the space calm and expansive.

The sculptural U-shaped fibre bed adds character without crowding, and the custom wave-textured wall brings subtle depth. Large glass sliders flood the room with natural light, making it feel bigger and more breathable.

This is functional interior design, where space adapts to your lifestyle, not the other way around.

This living room was designed around one hero element: the floor.

A custom-designed flooring pattern brings movement and identity to the space, making this living room truly one of a kind. Paired with a large window framing the deck, pool, and landscape, the design blurs the line between indoors and outdoors.

Hidden sliding panels on both sides seamlessly connect the living room to the dining area and lounge bar, creating a fluid open-plan layout perfect for entertaining.

The rest of the interior design stays calm and minimal, grey lime-painted walls, contrasting furniture, and a custom TV unit that echoes the room’s soft, flowing forms. A fluted glass panel behind adds depth with subtle plant silhouettes.

The real heart of every home isn’t the living room… it’s the kitchen and dining.

This space is used every single day, so the design had to be both functional and inviting. We went with a monochrome grey kitchen and an L-shaped layout for smooth movement and better workflow.

A dine-in counter adds a social layer, perfect for quick meals, conversations, or prep time. The dining area connects seamlessly, highlighted by a custom avocado green table with a unique river-finished stone surface.

Large windows bring in natural light and greenery, making everyday dinners feel special. Sliding pocket doors allow flexibility; open for gatherings, closed for privacy.

This is modern kitchen and dining design that balances beauty and practicality.
