Matai Associates is an Architectural Firm in practice since the last 30 years. We offer service to public and private clients in the field of architecture, urban design and infrastructure planning. We seek to bring together and work by creating strategic and interdisciplinary partnerships between academic practitioners, governments, corporations and the public, in an effort to find innovative and effective solutions to improve the quality of life in urban and semi-urban environments. We also strive to create an appropriate response to a site and context, to realize development forms that are functional and affordable, but also beautiful, environmentally responsible and socially inclusive.

At Mangla Fiorella, the garden isn't squeezed into whatever space was left between the towers. We raised it onto its own deck so it could curve and spread out, instead of following the straight lines of a driveway underneath it. Most towers coming up around still treat the garden as leftover ground; here it's treated like a place worth designing properly.

The ground doesn't defer to the building it meets it with planted edges and scaled movement. Interior surfaces - quartz, granite, vitrified tile—are chosen for how they age and respond to use, not for initial impact.

The façade of Madhuvan: The Nexus is shaped by repetition, rhythm and planting.

Stellar Tower is conceived as a commercial address where the building’s form responds to its mixed programme. Ground-floor showrooms establish an active street edge, while the upper office floors step back to create layered terraces and outdoor workspaces. The rounded corner and continuous glazing soften the scale of the structure, giving the façade a more fluid presence within the urban setting.

At Meridian Majesty, the brick doesn't stop at the wall, it climbs straight into the gable, so each villa gets its own pitched roof volume instead of one continuous line. Two units, two doors, two rooflines at slightly different heights sit side by side on what is structurally a shared wall.
Churchill said ‘we shape our buildings and they shape us’ here, the roofline is what keeps a row of villas from feeling row-like.

Greenery runs through every corner of Lollo Rosso in Vadodara.
Live palms at the entrance, a lotus and hummingbird mural on the walls, pothos trailing from the kitchen mezzanine, and a terrace that opens straight into the tree line outside. Terracotta seating and warm tile flooring carry the same palette from the dining hall out to the terrace.
Even the signage nods to the name, with small produce icons referencing the lettuce variety Lollo Rosso is drawn from. One material, used in every form it can take.

The balcony parapet at Bellevita doesn't end in a railing cap — it ends in a trough of trailing green, cast into the same slab that shelters the floor below. Brick piers and white fins hold the rhythm; the planting carries it further. Eames was right — the details aren't the details, they make the design.
