Imagine one of the first really warm days of spring, the smell of the salty sea, seabirds squeaking and snow-topped mountains in the background, walking barefoot on the rocky beach, toes soaking in the salty seaweed bath of the Atlantic ocean. That's my happy place, I could spend all day out here.

Finding seaglass, stones and seashells tops it all off.. can't wait to make Atlantic infused jewelry when I come home ✨

Do you have your priorities straight, like me? The first thing I pack when going on a holiday is all of my favourite jewellery.. all made by me except for the vintage studs from the 50s, inherited from my grandmother. Very sentimental and undeniably classy!

How many pairs of earrings do we need on a 2 week holiday? Is there a limit?

P.S. this is definitely not the ideal way to store your jewellery... It's best to avoid them rubbing onto each other, scratching the surface. If possible, store them in their individual slots. I often wrap them in a cotton cloth, making sure none of them scratch the other.

These stones somehow looked so plain before, but with the right design their beauty is brought forward. ✨

Somehow I always end up making earrings. I could be making so many other things, any other of my million ideas, but I always come back to earrings.

I should be packing right now, preparing for my summer holiday, but somehow I yet again ended up admiring my craft, taking pics of the pieces I made last night.

Hope you all have a nice weekend ahead of you!

When you visit Skriðuklaustur, don't forget to check out the museum shop for great souvenirs. Who knows, maybe you will find your new favourite earrings or a naturally dyed silk scarf to bring you comfort and style during your travels ✨

My goal as a maker is to create long lasting, timeless pieces. 14k Gold fill ensures a long life for your pieces. With gentle care, they last many years longer than gold plated jewelry, up to 10 years and longer if taken care of. They can be cleaned with mild soap and water, a soft toothbrush can help to get into the tight spaces.

Taking product photos is one of my favourite things in this small business life. In my past 2 jobs, taking photos has been a big part of my job even though I'm not a photographer, but I've loved it!

5 minutes of drilling in 1,5 minutes. Agates are one of the hardest stones I work with, and they need to be damn gorgeous for me to bother drilling them. This one didn't take as much time as expected, but we lost a drill bit in the process R.I.P🪦

I made this reel last Christmas but didn't post it... It is very difficult for me to be seen in this way, I don't particularly love talking on camera but I suppose that's something I need to practice as a small business owner.🫠 So I decided to put it out there anyway. Better late than never... I also needed to empty space on my phone so two birds with one stone.

Hope you enjoy a little peak behind the curtains ✨

My home is my work studio, all the dyeing happens in my kitchen. When I am immersed in working, my whole living room becomes a storage, big boxes full of dried plants and onion skins take up a big part of the space. It is such a good feeling when I take a break from the dyeing and can put away the boxes and pots. I can have the sofa all for myself!

In the future I will have a proper dye studio, hopefully an open one where I can invite guests to come and see my work and maybe learn a thing or two. 🥰 Maybe even host workshops every now and then... Who knows!
