Maik & Lola creamos piezas de arte con lana, realizados con la técnica llamada “needle felting”, utilizamos lana 100% islandesa y mucha creatividad. La técnica needle felting se describe mejor como “esculpir con lana vellón) que es la lana sin procesar. Cada producto lleva una descripción general y si se encuentra en stock. Si requiere alguna modificación en el producto, favor indicarlo en la orden. Importante: Tiempo elaboración 2 a 3 días. Tiempo de entrega una vez puesto en el correo: 15 días (Considerar que el envío es desde Islandia). ***Todos los precios incluyen el envío vía courier.

While on a road trip and usually with my camera, I started noticing all these barracks. They’re an important part of the Icelandic landscape — brought here by the British Army during WWII and left behind afterward. Many farmers kept them as sheep shelters or storage sheds.

This painting is my way of honoring that bit of history and the way those structures shape Iceland’s scenery. Next time you spot one, you’ll know a little of its story.
