Gian Luca Frigerio was born in Alessandria, Italy, in 1968. He took a degree in Architecture at the Turin Polytechnic in 1996 then, in 1998 he attended post graduated course in architectural barrier, Engineering Faculty at Turin Polytechnic and in 2001 attended post graduated course Hotel & Contract Design, Poli_Design – Milan Polytechnic. In 2001 opened his own studio, focusing on interior, retai
l, exhibit and product design and working as consultant for company image and work coordination. Since 2008 when the company Demaproject was formed is in charge as Art Director and chief designer for CORDIS Biofireplace Collection. He was assistant at Fashion Design Course, Design Faculty, Milan Polytechnic between 2000 and 2006 then Adjunct Professor of the same faculty in 2006 – 2007 focusing on brand identity for fashion and luxury companies, teaching retail design (showrooms, corner shop, shop in shop, exhibit). He hold lectures at the Turin Polytechnic and at Federmobili-Poli_Design post graduated course “Manager del Punto Vendita d’Interni” (Interiors Shop Manager). He also wrote about strategies and marketing for Spazio Tre Edizioni Tecniche publisher between 2007 and 2008 then in 2011 wrote for Bagno e Accessori Magazine, Sole24ore Publisher. He takes part as speaker in different conferencies talking about interior, product, retail, hotel and SPA design:

His projects are characterized by the constant search for architectural solutions appropriate to the client, to the political, economic, social and cultural contest, often involving multiple disciplines and resisting the temptation to create a specific style to his work that make the designer recognizable at the client expense. Since november 2013, in addition to practicing the profession in Italy, he carries out professional activities at the Proteus Light Design studio - PDG Group of Shanghai, P.R.C.
