Casa Giglio, Bordighera • Ristrutturazione appartamento in stile mediterraneo.

Quello che vedi è esattamente ciò che ho mandato alla cliente durante il cantiere. Non è tornata una sola volta prima di venirci a soggiornare: foto e video sono stati l'unico filo tra lei e la sua casa, fino al giorno in cui ha aperto la porta.

Gestire una ristrutturazione a distanza si può, se c'è qualcuno che se ne occupa davvero!

Due sommier, due modi di dormire, una sola soluzione: la testiera scorre sull'asta e si sposta secondo chi dorme lì quella notte.

Realizzata su misura per una camera che doveva accogliere sia una coppia che due persone separate, senza compromessi su nessuna delle due esigenze.

Renovation of an apartment in Bordighera: an understated yet elegant home overlooking the greenery of the hinterland. {Part II}

C•Giglio is the name of this residential interior design project.

The owner of this home didn’t see a single day of the work in person, except through the photos I sent her!

The client lives in Germany and is constantly travelling for work. She wanted a home that would be a peaceful retreat for her and her family. She chose the quiet and elegance of Bordighera, which is easy to reach from anywhere in the world thanks to the convenient Nice Airport, just a few kilometres away.

Every choice was carefully considered for her, even from a distance:

• The client loved the continuity and sheen of the existing porcelain stoneware flooring, but in order to make the requested changes to the bathrooms, it had to be removed. I therefore suggested a replacement tile that complemented the existing one beautifully, while also being even more practical thanks to its textured, non-slip surface, making it suitable for potentially hazardous areas such as bathrooms.

• Although the air-conditioning system was working, it had old, yellowed plastic trunking running throughout the apartment. I therefore suggested creating concealed bulkheads, which not only solved the problem but also provided the perfect setting for a more effective lighting system, such as the LED strip at the entrance. All it took was a drawing sent to the client, together with a report outlining the costs and benefits, for her to approve this type of intervention remotely.

• We then integrated a laundry cupboard with a washing machine and dryer into the large bathroom. The space was there, but it had been poorly designed.

When she arrived, she found everything ready. After all the work that had gone into the project, it was incredibly rewarding to see her so enthusiastic, happy and pleasantly surprised by the attention given to the smallest details.

Ristrutturazione di un appartamento a Bordighera: una casa essenziale, ma elegante, che affaccia sul verde dell’entroterra. {Parte I}

C•Giglio è il nome di questo progetto d’interni residenziale.

La proprietaria di questa casa non ha visto un solo giorno di cantiere!

La cliente vive in Germania ed è perennemente in giro per lavoro. Desiderava una casa che fosse luogo di pace per lei e la sua famiglia. Ha scelto la quiete e l’eleganza di Bordighera, facile da raggiungere da ogni parte del mondo, grazie al pratico aeroporto di Nizza a pochi km di distanza.

Ogni scelta è stata pensata per lei, anche a distanza:

• Gli arredi sono pochi e funzionali, al fine di renderne agevole la pulizia e il mantenimento. Una casa per le vacanze deve essere un piacere, non l’ennesima lista di cose di cui occuparsi.
• Come finiture per la cucina abbiamo scelto il noce canaletto e un top in gres effetto marmo verde a prova di macchie e calore eccessivo. Ho inviato i campioni direttamente in Germania affinchè venissero approvati e potessi mandare avanti l’esecuzione.
• In sala, un unico lampadario a ragno con due punti luce permette di illuminare in maniera generale la stanza, e in maniera puntuale il tavolo da pranzo che viene qui spostato attraverso la pratica e ampia porta scorrevole per accogliere amici.

Quando è arrivata, ha trovato tutto pronto. È stato davvero ripagante di tutto il lavoro svolto vederla entusiasta, felice e sorpresa della cura per i piccoli dettagli.

E se ti dicessi che questa casa è cambiata così, senza nemmeno sostituire la cucina?

Arianna sapeva esattamente come voleva sentirsi a casa: desiderava uno spazio caldo, elegante, personale, lontano dalle mode.

Ma non sapeva da dove iniziare.

Abbiamo quindi lavorato sugli spazi e sui dettagli: nuove piastrelle bianche artigianali, un rivestimento effetto travertino e una parete attrezzata che ha ampliato la cucina, creando anche il posto perfetto per pranzi vista mare con amici e famiglia.

Nel living abbiamo nascosto ciò che serviva e creato nuovi spazi per accogliere gli ospiti, senza rinunciare alla privacy.

Il risultato? Una casa bella, funzionale e soprattutto pensata intorno alla sua vita.

What if I told you this home was transformed like this, without even replacing the kitchen?

Arianna knew exactly how she wanted her home to feel: warm, elegant, personal, and timeless.

But she didn’t know where to start.

So we reworked the space through a series of thoughtful details: new handcrafted-look white tiles, a travertine-effect finish, and a custom built-in wall that expanded the kitchen and created the perfect spot for sea-view lunches with friends and family.

In the living room, we concealed everything that needed to be stored and created extra space for guests, without compromising privacy.

The result? A home that is beautiful, functional, and above all, designed around the way she lives.

Ristrutturazione di un appartamento ad Ospedaletti: una casa dallo stile mediterraneo che affaccia sul mare.

C•Gelsomino è il nome di questo progetto d’interni residenziale.

Ho disegnato ogni arredo e poi fatto realizzare su misura, ricercando stile ma anche recuperando ogni spazio utile.

Questo lavoro è la prova che con un progetto d’interior design si puó avere un appartamento bello, senza sacrificare la praticità sotto ogni suo aspetto.

Bianco, lino, rovere, pattern materici ed elementi di contrasto neri costituiscono i tratti che donano carattere allo spazio.

Inoltre i clienti non hanno dovuto stressarsi di nulla. Mentre loro conducevano tranquillamente la loro vita lontano da qui, ho portato avanti tutte le scelte progettuali. Loro hanno dovuto solo disfare le valigie una volta arrivati! 🐚

Every piece of furniture was custom-designed by me and made to measure, with the goal of combining timeless style and making the most of every available space.

This project is proof that a well-planned interior design can create a beautiful home without compromising on practicality in any way.

White, linen, oak, textured patterns, and contrasting black accents come together to give the space its unique character.

Most importantly, my clients didn’t have to worry about a thing. While they continued living their lives far away, I took care of every design decision and coordinated the entire project. All they had to do was unpack their suitcases when they arrived. 🐚
