GlocalARCHITECTS is a network of professionals from different cultural backgrounds with a wide international experience. Founded in early 2012, GlocalARCHITECTS is involved in developing innovative and sustainable solutions for contemporary architecture, society and design. Our work began with an analysis and critique of the figure of the architect and its reconfiguration in contemporary society,
the result of economic and geopolitical crises. This phenomenon requires new methods and tools capable of handling the increased complexity of urban life, the problems of overcrowding, the increase of energy consumption, resource management in harmony with the environment. The architect must get to the service of society. Through processes of urban regeneration to create harmony and community with minimal resources. An architecture that takes its foundation from its local knowledge and shares it with the most distant space. Here comes the motto: “Think Global Act Local”. Build the place and not on the site. It is in extreme synthesis the approach. So not only a zero material miles, environmentally sustainable and recyclable, but also a limited impact on the construction site; simple technologies and consistent with the program. This process leads to a saving of means and money resources. A quality architectural design, in harmony with a Smart City system. In addition to the design activities, GlocalARCHITECTS is also engaged to the diffusion of knowledge in the field of urban sustainability, through the organization of cultural events, workshops, and production of different articles, essays, reports published the main media. Over the years GlocalARCHITECTS has developed an active collaboration network both in Europe (Switzerland, Spain, Portugal) and outside Europe (India, Shanghai). Operational headquarters are in Brescia (Italy).
