Riverstone begins with a simple idea: bringing back to the surface the river stone of the old pavements of medieval porticoes and courtyards.

With six colours available, the same colour can change texture as it moves from one space to another, from the kitchen floor to the poolside. How much the pebbles show is decided by the three graphics: few and barely hinted in Sand, more evident in Rock, taking centre stage in Full Rock.

A lapping technology follows the design of the surface, polishing the pebbles while the background keeps its matt quality. Naturalness dresses every space, in shifting intensity and colour.

New shapes, same roots. This year, one word guides the Tagina stand at Cersaie: Identity. The hexagon, a distinctive element of the new collection that reinterprets an authentic, deeply Tagina rustic soul in a contemporary key, becomes the visual and spatial matrix of the whole fair project: six sides, six collections, each telling a different chapter of the same story, bringing beauty into people's lives.
Five days in Bologna, from 21 to 25 September, amid meetings, ideas and surfaces to discover in person: Hall 37, Stand A20-B19.

Colour is one of the first decisions in a project, and warm tones change the way a space is perceived and lived.

City Stone works in exactly this register: a reinterpretation of urban design in a concrete effect, with a range of warm, dusty neutrals, from mattone to senape to avorio, through to the Portofino décor.

Gradations designed to sit together, able to give character to spaces from residential to commercial.

We singled out five ideas behind a contemporary style, because it rarely comes from just one.

A contemporary space takes shape from choices that work together, none stronger than the others, a balance of light, colour and material.

Aurelia, Fulvia, Octavia and Zenobia: four women from the history of Rome give their names to the four colours of Marmi Imperiali Versailles.

The collection reinterprets the marbles of ancient Roman noble villas in porcelain stoneware. A system of four modular sizes, with antiqued edges, allows for new geometries and laying patterns, and brings the English country style into a contemporary form.

Right where a floor ends, on the edge of a step or the border of a clad volume, another material often appears to close it off. Tagina has planned a different solution for each of its collections: a triangular edge cover in the colour and finish of the surface, so it is the material itself that turns the corner too. In the Montalcino collection the wood carries on smoothly beyond the edge in the same colour, with no break. What is usually the hardest point to finish becomes, here, the part worth showing.

The charm of raw matter, the grace of a rough surface. Rustic style brings the atmosphere of old farmhouses back into the home: stone walls, old plaster, wood that shows its years. With porcelain stoneware all of this comes with no compromises: a stone-effect surface on the floor, a terracotta effect that warms the room, a decorated floor that recalls the cement tiles of the past. The tones stay true to tradition, from beige, ochre and cream to the deeper terracotta and brick, and every room finds its own version of rustic. A welcoming, lived-in space that puts you at ease the moment you walk in. Explore our styles https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0wHPBt0

Montalcino takes its name from a Tuscan land, and from there come the three wood types that make up the collection: Rovere, Larice and Quercia. Brought into porcelain stoneware with the veining and knots of real wood, in the tones of Paglierino, Dorato and Miele. It is a collection at ease at home and in commercial spaces alike: it works in the bathroom too and, in the Rovere version, it reaches all the way to the poolside and the garden, where real wood would not last. Completing the range is the Déco, a fresh take on the classic panel. Wood that carries its origin into every room. Explore the collection https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0wHKcB0

The eye sees the veins, the fingers find them again. The Realistic 3D Vein Effect makes the grooves of the veins on the surface coincide with the texture of the underlying design: an aesthetic and tactile effect that returns the true sensation of natural quarry stone. In the Pietra d'Orvieto collection, this technology is active in the Velvet and Natural finishes: surfaces that you recognise by touch before you even see them. From indoors to the water's edge, it is the material that guides you.
The sun on the surface, the water reflecting the sky, bare feet moving through the space without ever encountering a break. Around a pool, the surface holds the atmosphere of the space together, building a continuous connection between inside and outside. The choice of material is a choice about how to live that space.
