Biancomorena is a place in the heart, a space where I can dream, learn and explore ceramics

Textiles have been always present in the human history; they represent an essential mean of survival, for some cultures, spiritual and sacred meaning to others, and commercial and economical power in different ones. If you take a close look, you realize that textiles are able to speak by themselves. Through textiles such as tapestry we appreciate representations of live scenes of the days before p

hotography, through ropes we were able to recognize the social and political position of a character and the environmental conditions that he lived in and through woven we realize unknown community’s daily activities and tools, textiles are for us reflections of the nature and feelings of the creator. In many cultures, even today, women and men are judged and appreciated by their hand skills with textiles and for so transmitting their knowledge and secrets only generation through generation. They weave as ways to communicate their mood, their feelings, express themselves freely; they become artisans and owners of their own creations.

La cerámica nunca ha sido solo cerámica para mí.

Es la excusa para bajar el ritmo, volver a mis manos y recordar que no todo tiene que hacerse rápido o perfecto.

Ojalá este espacio también sea eso para ti. Un lugar donde puedas parar un ratito, desconectar del ruido y volver a ilusionarte. Jugar, crear, ensuciarte las manos… como cuando eras chiquita y lo único que importaba era el placer de hacer.

They’re an excuse to slow down, come back to my hands, and remember that not everything has to be done quickly or perfectly.

I hope this space can be that for you too. A place where you can pause for a little while, disconnect from the noise, and feel excited again. To play, to create, to get your hands dirty… just like you did when you were a little girl, when the joy was simply in making.
