Recently I was lying on a beach in Sicily, looking out at that incredible blue sea, laughing to myself and thinking…

This is my life. 💗

Not because everything has gone according to plan. It hasn’t.

But when I thought about my “one wild and precious life,” I started making choices that moved me closer to the life I truly wanted.

Today I get to spend months each year in Italy. I get to do work that has deep meaning for me, creating experiences that bring women together, uplift them, open them to new possibilities and fill their lives with beauty, joy and connection.

There were big parts of my life I had to change. Things I had to say no to. Choices that weren’t always easy. And lots of baby steps plus big ones too.

But lying there the other day by myself on a beach in Sicily, I had one of those beautiful moments when you suddenly see how all those intentional choices added up.

And I think we all need to celebrate those moments more.

Not only the enormous accomplishments. The small brave choices too.

The first step. The change of direction. The thing you finally say yes to. The thing you finally say no to. The dream you decide is worth taking seriously.

Whatever stage you’re in, celebrate every step that brings you closer to a life that feels more like yours.

And maybe every once in a while, stop, look around and let yourself say…

Look what I created. This is my life. 💗

What is one choice you’ve made that has brought you closer to the life you want?

Sitting by the beautiful blue sea in Milazzo, Sicily, looking out toward the Aeolian Islands, I found myself reflecting on the last few weeks. 💗🇮🇹

I’ve just finished my Italian Riviera and Puglia retreats, and one of the things that fills me with the most joy is watching what happens when women step away from their everyday lives for a little while.

We put down so many roles at home. Mother. Wife. Daughter. Caregiver. Professional. The one who organizes everything. The one everyone relies on.

And then something beautiful happens.

There is space to simply be yourself.

To laugh. Explore. Rest. Be playful. Feel free. Make new friendships. Share honestly. And be surrounded by women who genuinely want good things for you.

In every retreat circle, I share one of my favorite intentions:

“What you want for you is what I want for you.”

No comparison. No competition. Just generous, kindhearted support for one another’s happiness, dreams and desires.

Watching women experience that freedom, joy and connection is one of the greatest privileges of the work I do.

And now I’m looking across the sea toward the Aeolian Islands, where another group of women is about to begin. 💗

Here we go again. 🇮🇹✨

Finding beauty in Catania, Sicily. 🇮🇹

I just finished my Puglia retreat, after already leading my Italian Riviera retreat, and I’m here in Catania for a little pause before heading to the Aeolian Islands for my third retreat.

And something incredibly important to me is putting myself in the energy of beauty. 🌸

Whenever I plan to be somewhere, I look for places where beauty surrounds me. A beautiful view out my window. A balcony with flowers. Pink architecture, my favorite.

Sunlight pouring in. ☀️ And this piazza makes me stop and breathe it all in.

In Italy, beauty feels woven into everyday life. It isn’t treated as something frivolous. It nourishes us. It changes how we feel. It helps us slow down and become more present.

That’s one of the reasons I always choose a room with a bella vista when I travel. I want to wake up and receive something beautiful before I’ve even stepped outside.

So before I head to the Aeolian Islands, I’m enjoying a little Catania beauty first. 💗

What is one beautiful thing around you today that you can stop, receive and savor?

Italian Hair Magic in Puglia! Suddenly I have an extra bounce in my step. 🇮🇹💃🏻

I was in the small town of Altamura in Italy and found a local salon I had never been to before. Researched on Google and they had great reviews so I decided to trust them with my roots and color. Brave? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely. 🎉

Italian hairdressers just get hair. The color, the shine, the blowout… bellissima!

Tip! Bring inspiration photos and use your translator.

There is truly something magical about walking back through an Italian town with fresh color, a great blowout and feeling fabulous. 💃🏻

One more reason I love spending a month or more in Italy.

Ladies… the moral of the story is to trust your Italian hairdresser. 🇮🇹

And you won’t believe how much it was? Take a guess below! 🇮🇹

Dolce far niente, the sweetness of doing nothing. 🇮🇹💗

I came to Giovinazzo, a little seaside town in Puglia, thinking I would spend these days driving around, exploring new places and following my usual wanderlust.

Instead, I’ve mostly stayed still.

I’ve sat by the window and on my little balcony overlooking the harbor. I’ve listened to sailboats, laughter from the bar below, and Italian conversations floating up from the street. I’ve watched people come and go, felt the rhythm of the town around me, and somehow felt completely full without doing very much at all.

It has reminded me that joy doesn’t always come from adding more.

Sometimes it comes from softening into where you already are.

From letting a beautiful place nourish you. From hearing the sounds around you. From noticing the light. From feeling connected even when you’re alone.

I still love exploring. I still love adventure. But this week has reminded me that there is also so much beauty in simply receiving what is already here.

I think that’s a meaningful part of la dolce vita.

Doing less. Feeling more. 🇮🇹

What would it feel like for you to step away from productivity for a little while, find a place that nourishes you, and simply sit still long enough to receive what is already there?

Sending love and Italian baci from Puglia ~

There is such a juicy freedom in arriving somewhere on your own and allowing your heart to guide you. 🇮🇹💗

You can wander down a street that catches your eye, stop for a cappuccino, chat with someone in a store, choose the restaurant that feels right, change your plans on a dime, or just sit somewhere beautiful and breathe it all in.

Solo traveling gives you the space to hear yourself again. Your intuition gets louder and your own rhythm returns.

So if there is somewhere you’ve been dreaming about traveling, please don’t feel you have to wait for a friend or partner to come with you.

You are that someone for yourself. Follow your heart and listen to the whispers of your unique desires.

Sometimes, this is where the most joyful journey begins. 💃🏻

Tell me, is there someplace you’ve been dreaming about but haven’t gone yet? Don’t wait! Do your dreams now. 💞

Back in Italy and straight into the beauty of the Italian Riviera. 🇮🇹

My first evening (after a long set of flights and a few trains) brought me to fairytale-like Finalborgo, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, where I wandered the little streets, followed whatever caught my eye, and had my first pesto pasta of the trip. Yummy!

One of the things I love most about Italy is already happening. I received the warm, spontaneous connection I love so much from the people here. The charming restaurant owner waved me in, took wonderful care of me, called me a taxi at the end of the night and told me I had beautiful eyes and a great smile. 😉 Not a bad welcome back. Grazie Italia!

I’m super excited for all the beauty, surprises and sweet moments waiting for me and the ladies joining me over the next seven weeks.

And yes… this was only the first pasta dish of many. 🍝🇮🇹💗

Lovelies, next week, I’m heading back to Italy and I’d love you to follow along. 🇮🇹

This time, I’ll be there for seven weeks, leading three women’s retreats in three very different corners of the country I love so much.

First, the Italian Riviera ~ Portofino and the Cinque Terre.

Then south to Puglia and magical Matera.

And finally, out into the Aeolian Islands off the northern coast of Sicily, my newest retreat destination.

Three landscapes. Three cultures. Three completely different ways of experiencing Italy.

I’ll be sharing all of it here, and not just the postcard moments, but the little things I love most… the morning cappuccino, the market stalls, the hidden streets, boats gliding across the water, beautiful meals that turn into long afternoons, laughter around the table, and all the unexpected discoveries along the way.

All the beauty in between.

I’ve been a little quieter here this summer as I worked intently preparing for these retreats, but that’s about to change. 😉

And BTW, in between retreats, I’ll also be checking out new locations in Italy for future One Month residencies. 👭

Which location are you most excited to see?

I leave next week. Come along. 🇮🇹
