For the fifth edition of the Festival des Cabanes, held at Villa Medici in Rome, Mutina takes part through an installation developed by ECAL Master Product Design students in collaboration with French designer Ronan Bouroullec.⁠
⁠
Festival des Cabanes brings together six original creations alongside a multidisciplinary artistic programme at the intersection of architecture and landscape. On this occasion, ECAL and Mutina present Façade, a project designed by ECAL with the collection Fringe by Michael Anastassiades. A single wall becomes architecture, transforming a fragment into a space in its own right — casting shadows, offering a place to pause, and opening a new passage through the landscape. The installation draws inspiration from the tradition of trompe-l’œil, a pictorial technique rooted in antiquity and reinvented during the Renaissance.⁠

Bloc by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec is a terracotta brick conceived to build architectural and decorative structures. The holes that characterise three-dimensional element can be left empty, creating vibrant plays of light, or filled with Tube, a wooden accessory available in red and blue.

From 10 to 12 June, Mutina will participate in 3daysofdesign for the first time, the international design festival that transforms Copenhagen into a vibrant hub of creativity, research, and experimentation.⁠

Weaving is the new collection by Neri&Hu, rooted in a sophisticated exploration of form inspired by the ancient Chinese art of bamboo weaving.⁠
⁠
Each Weaving pattern establishes a distinct rhythm of density and transparency, allowing architects and designers to create a wide range of spatial narratives — from delicately textured surfaces to more striking graphic compositions. The collection is suitable for both wall and floor applications, in indoor and outdoor settings.

Weaving is the new collection by Neri&Hu, which lies in a sophisticated chromatic research. The palette is inspired by the transformations of bamboo over time—tones that evoke its slow process of maturation. Weaving is available in three patterns in a range of five natural matte tones and one multi-colour version per pattern , marked by a subtle tonal variation designed to convey naturalness and depth.⁠

During the latest edition of Milan Design Week, from April 20 to 26, the interiors of Casa Mutina Milano came to life through an original ceramic installation, specifically conceived to present the brand’s new collaborations: Weaving and Hé by Neri&Hu , and Homage to the Square, in collaboration with the Josef & Anni Albers Foundation.
