MIO nasce da una passione: l’amore per la ricerca, le cose belle e il design d’autore di Antje d’Almeida, sofisticata e cosmopolita viaggiatrice di origine tedesca approdata a Firenze 15 anni fa. Concept store d’avanguardia, aperto da ottobre nella centralissima Via della Spada, MIO è subito diventato il raffinato punto d’incontro tra creatività locale ed internazionale, design e arte, in un’atmos

fera piena d’ispirazione, vivace e coinvolgente che rimanda agli store di ricerca di capitali come Parigi o New York. Sostenibilità, creatività, eleganza e un pizzico di sense of humour sono i criteri da cui parte il lavoro di scouting di Antje, che spiega:

“La filosofia di MIO è ben esemplificata nel concetto di accessibilità, nel design come nell’arte. Abbiamo intrapreso, per esempio, un’interessante collaborazione con CLET, artista francese naturalizzato fiorentino che reinterpreta in modo originale e ironico i cartelli stradali. La filosofia dell’accessibilità stimola la creatività anche sul fronte del design. MIO propone infatti mobili realizzati in carta riciclata, sgabelli e tavolini ricavati dai vecchi barili di carburante...”

MIO concept store è un piccolo paese delle meraviglie, davvero unico nel suo genere. Ogni regalo anche il più piccolo ha una storia da raccontare. Ogni acquisto da MIO, sia che si tratti dell’idea regalo low budget o del pezzo unico di grande effetto, ha in oltre un valore etico: il concept store aiuta infatti la Fondazione ASIA Onlus creata da Choegyal Namkhal Norbu per la realizzazione di scuole e ospedali in Tibet. MIO concept store aspetta gli appassionati di design e curiosità in Via della Spada, a due passi dalla lussuosa Via Tornabuoni, in una zona che si è recentemente arricchita di interessanti boutiques e gallerie d’arte e che in breve tempo è diventata un punto di riferimento per fiorentini e turisti curiosi attenti alle novità.
