✍🏻Il bronzo è materia dura.
Eppure, tra le mani giuste,
si lascia plasmare,
si piega alla luce,
si trasforma in qualcosa di sorprendente.

❤️Resto ad osservare i panneggi di questa scultura di Auguste Joseph Peiffer,
scivolano come tessuto,
si piegano,
sembrano quasi sospesi.

È questo il fascino del bronzo dorato:
la capacità di unire
peso e grazia.

🇬🇧Bronze is a hard material.
Yet, in the right hands,
it becomes malleable,
it bends to the light,
it transforms into something unexpected.

I find myself observing the drapery of this sculpture by Auguste Joseph Peiffer,
they flow like fabric,
they fold,
they seem almost suspended.

This is the charm of gilt bronze:
the ability to unite
weight and grace.

❤️ Era un linguaggio silenzioso, fatto di simboli e sfumature, un modo elegante per esprimere ciò che a parole non si poteva dire.

Ed è così che queste tre stampe acquarellate,
incorniciate in una cornice dorata,
diventano un racconto.

La dolce speranza.
La violetta d’Occidente.
La camelia.

Non sono semplici figure.

Fermarsi.
Aprire un cofanetto.
Guardare le posate, una ad una.

Capire da dove provengano.
Immaginare le tavole su cui sono state.

❤️Poi, lentamente: pulire.
Catalogare.

Prendermi cura degli oggetti significa anche questo.
È la parte silenziosa del mio lavoro.
🗝️Ma forse è la più preziosa. ✨

Stopping.
Opening a box.
Looking at each piece of cutlery, one by one.

Understanding where it comes from.
Studying its shapes.
Imagining the tables where it once belonged.

Then, slowly: cleaning.
Cataloguing.

Taking care of objects also means this.
It is the quiet part of my work.

Non è solo per gli abiti.
Non è solo per le storie d’amore.

È perché racconta un momento preciso della storia:
la Reggenza inglese, sotto Giorgio IV.

Uno stile fatto di grazia e rituali.
Di tè serviti con eleganza ☕
Linee leggere. Atmosfere intime.

Quasi negli stessi anni, in Francia, sotto Napoleone Bonaparte, nasceva invece lo stile Impero.

Più severo, più monumentale, più “potere” che “conversazione.” 👑

Due sovrani.
Due personalità.
Due modi opposti di arredare il mondo.

E voi… siete più salotto Regency o palazzo Impero? ✨🏛️

✍🏻 Il contrasto tra il candore del biscuit e la luce del bronzo dorato ✨

🕰️ Non è solo un orologio, ma un piccolo gioiello che misura il tempo.

🇫🇷Siamo a Parigi, nella seconda metà dell’Ottocento e la firma non appartiene a semplici orologiai, ma a due gioiellieri:
Boin e Taburet.

Il resto, scopritelo guardando il reel. ✨

It is a small jewel that measures time.

We are in Paris, in the second half of the 19th century.

C’era un custode speciale fatto di legno, si chiamava bonheur du jour.
Nasce nel Settecento.
È un piccolo scrittoio destinato alle donne, nato appunto per custodire.

✉️Lettere piegate con cura.
Pensieri che non dovevano essere letti.
Segreti affidati al legno e alla chiave🗝️

Questo esemplare, di epoca Napoleone III, firmato Gradé, racconta la Parigi dei salotti, della luce che filtrava tra le tende, delle conversazioni sussurrate.

Non è solo un mobile.
È uno spazio intimo.
È la felicità del giorno.

anche un vaso diventava oggetto di conversazione.

🏺Lo si osservava da più lati,
si girava lentamente tra le mani,
si commentavano le scene,
i paesaggi sullo sfondo.

✨Questa coppia di vasi del XIX secolo nasce così:
porcellana finemente decorata,
figure in costume e architetture idealizzate,
oro che incornicia il racconto
come un sipario.

📍Oggetti pensati per essere scoperti.
Non semplici elementi d’arredo,
ma presenze capaci di animare lo spazio.

Bellezze senza tempo,
custodite oggi
come allora.

✨✨ Quando pulisco un bronzo dorato antico
non cerco di farlo brillare.

✍🏻 Questa è una doratura al mercurio, detta anche doratura a fuoco:
l’oro non è appoggiato sopra,
è fuso nella superficie del metallo.

Per questo non uso mai prodotti aggressivi.
Non strofino, non cerco l’effetto “nuovo”.

Ogni segno, ogni lieve variazione di tono
racconta il tempo che è passato.

🇬🇧 ✨ When I clean an antique gilt bronze,
I’m not trying to make it shine.

This is mercury gilding, also known as fire gilding:
the gold is not applied on the surface,
it is fused into the metal itself.

That’s why I never use aggressive products.
I don’t rub, I don’t look for a “new” effect.

Every mark, every subtle change in tone
tells the story of time passing.
