Sand & Birch is an Italy based design studio working in the hi-end and luxury design, interior design and architecture. Sand & Birch Design Studio was founded in 2003 when Andrea Fino and Samanta Snidaro decided to join their different cultural backgrounds and experiences together for a unique project: to re-interpret the concept of furnishing and to bring other meanings, other senses and other lives to Objects. The Diamond Sofa is an example of how this project has become reality by turning a sofa into a piece of jewellery without losing its original functions. Andrea Fino has studied law and at present is working in the field of communication for Government Institutions and has gained experience in visual communication in the realization of social events. Samanta Snidaro has studied architecture in Italy and Spain and has had various experiences in the fields of photography and graphics. Together they began to focus on shapes and design, devoting their efforts mainly to take other natures, hidden or sacrificed for the production demands, out of ordinary objects. Sand & Birch Design Sand & Birch Design autoproduce their own collection with Italian craftsmen and choosing the best quality materials. It favours small, limited or very limited productions that permit to test, customize and create unique items and quality, characterized by the values of the "slow luxury".

Pebble is a soft, sculptural lounge chair designed as a composition of rounded upholstered volumes.

Its form draws inspiration from smooth natural stones shaped by time and water, translated into a contemporary seating piece with a bold yet welcoming presence. The segmented geometry enhances the object’s tactile identity, while the rich tonal palette gives it a warm, refined character.

Designed to feel both playful and sophisticated, Pebble explores comfort through generous curves, visual softness, and a compact monolithic silhouette.

Introducing Totema — a floor lamp that refuses to behave like one.
Four hand-blown glass spheres, stacked like a modern totem, each one glowing in its own frequency. Orange. Opal. Pink. White. It's Pop without the irony. Sculptural without the pretension.
Totema doesn't illuminate a space — it inhabits it. It's the piece that makes people walk in and stop talking about the sofa.
