Designed by Spagnulo & Partners for Conte Casa, the Duca armchair interprets seating as a measured and essential gesture, combining comfort with formal rigour. Its compact, enveloping shape is the result of a precise synthesis: soft lines define a full and balanced volume, free from excess. The backrest curves seamlessly into the seat, creating a discreet embrace that welcomes without dominating. The studio’s design creates a presence that fosters a sense of order and harmony within the space.

Set within Milan’s Bosco Verticale, this residence by Spagnulo & Partners unfolds through a continuous dialogue between interior space, architecture and nature. Materials, bespoke furnishings and carefully balanced proportions define a calm, contemporary atmosphere across the different environments. In the living area, a large corner window opens the space towards the Milan skyline, while the connection to the terrace extends domestic life outdoors. The kitchen is conceived as a sculptural composition, where stone, dark Corian, bronzed brass and oak come together through precise intersections of volumes and surfaces. The result is an interior shaped around light, views and the changing presence of the landscape.

The project by Spagnulo & Partners for the woods of Borgo dei Conti resort in Umbria is rooted in the primary and vital role of nature. To create a strong connection between visitors and the environment, the studio designed a series of paths inspired by the elements of nature itself. Earth, air and water become the guidelines shaping the sensory experience. The forest unfolds as a sequence of imagined spaces: a clearing with steps carved from tree trunks, a path suspended over a bridge and a watercourse flowing into a small lake. The project is completed by the lighting design, conceived to create visual focal points and convey an immersive experience throughout the day and evening.

The interior spaces of Borgo dei Conti reflect the history and identity of the place. Spagnulo & Partners combines the original architectural elements, such as the ceilings, floors and wall decorations, with contemporary furnishings, creating harmonious settings. Inside the resort’s bedrooms, visitors can connect with the surrounding landscape: the large windows establish a direct relationship between indoors and outdoors. Renaissance paintings also informed the interior design, inspiring the colours, materials and proportions of the different spaces.

In Spagnulo & Partners’ design for the Borgo dei Conti resort in Umbria, the outdoor spaces are the protagonists. The two swimming pool areas blend seamlessly into a woodland covering over twenty hectares, creating a peaceful refuge embraced by a clearing.
In this sense, the resort becomes a reflection of the region’s identity: a cultural and natural hub where guests can experience the very essence of the place around them. An essence composed of history, traditions, local production and materials intrinsically linked to the area.

Entering the castle of Borgo dei Conti, the design by Spagnulo & Partners is revealed in the relationship between interior and exterior spaces. The history of the site, linked above all to the Italian Renaissance, is brought to life through the natural stone façades, the terracotta paving and the large windows overlooking the courtyard’s patio. A warm and welcoming atmosphere is further enhanced by the numerous plants and trees in the gardens. The result is a sequence of spaces wisely combining 15th-century art history with a selection of contemporary furnishings. A place to seek refuge, where visitors can feel safe and connected to the unique identity of Umbria.

The outdoor pool area at Villa Gallici is the heart of Spagnulo & Partners’ project. The various spaces of the structure are distributed around it.
Here, the view opens onto the horizon. Inside the garden, the various sculptures reveal the historic and refined spirit of the South of France, while the intricate hedges create picturesque backdrops that frame every view. A delicate and sensitive design that emerges in every spatial detail.
