Visiting the bathrooms at Villa Necchi was pure design joy. Each one is a masterclass in 1930s but the black-tiled bathroom really stood out to me, dramatic yet timeless, the natural light streaming through the signature porthole window. The most achievable today on a budget with simple materials, glossy black tiles, classic fittings, you can recreate this look without loosing its quiet luxury. Proof that good design endures. 🖤🛁

Villa Necchi Campiglio, Milano
Tucked away in the heart of Milano, Villa Necchi felt like stepping into a dream I didn’t want to wake from.

Owned by the Necchi Campiglio family, active in entrepreneurship between the 1920s and late 1960s, particularly in the production of enameled cast iron and sewing machines.

I’ll be sharing more about Villa Necchi in separate posts—there’s just too much beauty and inspiration to fit into one ✨

I don’t often buy pencil reed or rattan furniture unless it’s different and special, this ticks all the boxes 👌🏽 starting with the chunky tessellated stone top also featured on the doors with 8 central drawers and two cupboards. I also love the hand tied handles. It’s a beauty 💥
