For years, Studioart has been exploring laser techniques as a way to transform leather surfaces through patterns, engravings and unexpected textures.

This research can be found in collections such as Floreal and Cellula, or become the starting point for something entirely custom, developed from a designer’s own inspiration or drawing.

From concept to surface, leather becomes a material to design.

For this hospitality project, Core Pezzara was developed in a palette of Randolf and DK Brown, creating a warm, textured wall surface with depth and rhythm.

The handwoven construction of leather strips and cotton warp gives the material a distinctive tactile quality, while subtle variations between tiles reinforce its crafted character.

Beyond aesthetics, the woven structure also contributes to acoustic comfort; an important layer in hospitality interiors, where materiality, atmosphere and performance need to work together.

Leather can be shaped in many ways.

Laser engraving, stitching, embroidery, digital printing, weaving, padding, bas-relief and combinations with materials such as marble, cork and metal are just some of the techniques we use to explore the expressive potential of leather.

Each process introduces a different design language, adding texture, rhythm, graphic detail or material contrast to the surface.

This is where technique becomes part of the project.
