I live in Sicilia, and am pretty fluent. That being said, I watch La Ruota Della Fortuna every night, while preparing dinner. Tonight, I learned an interesting language quirk.

La Lepre = Hare
La Lepre di Mare = Sea Slug

I have no idea how they came up with the names, or which came first, but I was confused. I kept thinking about what could be some kind of sea creature that was like a rabbit. Not even close! 🤪

A break from lying in the sun with some mandarino/limone granita…hits the spot! Side note: it’s so hot and humid (70+% humidity), each breath I take after a bite of the cold granita makes my mouth feel hot inside. It’s an odd sensation.
