The coconut palm protects itself with a fibrous layer that wraps, filters and breathes.
The sheath — the palm's natural envelope — is a protective intelligence that evolves over time.
In UMI, that texture becomes architecture: surfaces that filter light, encourage ventilation, and create a dynamic interplay of shadow and transparency.
Nature as a construction system.

The sheit — traditional Maldivian weaving — becomes the structure and roof of the dock with bar lounge: a place suspended between island and ocean, between local craft and contemporary space.
The sea is not the backdrop. It is the project.
