At Porta Rossa Hotel Firenze, Colbert Collection by Colbert Collection, the historic soul of the building meets a quieter, contemporary idea of comfort.

Rich textures, sculptural pieces and a soft, muted palette create an atmosphere that feels both intimate and timeless. The arched mirror reflects the building’s original language, while the open window draws Florence’s stone façades into the room.

Here, light, material and history work together to create a space that feels unmistakably Florentine - considered, calm and connected to its surroundings.

We took away plenty of inspiration from nautical design details for our interior project and we saw the beginning of construction on the hotel building site.

At Porta Rossa Hotel Firenze, Colbert Collection by Colbert Collection we designed a quiet dialogue between the historic character of the building and a contemporary sense of comfort.
Warm textures, sculptural furniture and soft, muted tones frame the room, while the arched mirror echoes the architecture and the open window brings Florence’s stonework into the interior. Every element is considered to feel timeless, intimate and distinctly Florentine.

At Masseria Donna Menga, the Mediterranean landscape becomes part of the experience, from the fragrant gardens to the cool waters of the pool.

We designed the spaces to feel deeply connected to Puglia: natural materials, warm tones and tactile details creating a quiet dialogue between the architecture and its surroundings.

So fascinating to experience great to see the Bayeux Tapestry, such an extraordinary piece of history through a design perspective. Looking at its composition, colour, rhythm, scale and incredible craftsmanship.
The tapestry is essentially a continuous visual story, where every detail has a role. The repetition of forms and motifs creates movement, while the simplicity of the graphic language makes the narrative immediately powerful.

Nearly 1,000 years later, it remains a remarkable example of how design can communicate, engage and endure.
