The Italian territory is rich in historic villages that preserve a profound cultural and historical identity. It is always a privilege to see become an integral part of such conscious architectural redevelopments.
Perched high upon a rugged rocky spur in the medieval village of Brugnello, the "Vertigo" project transforms the dramatic landscape into the true protagonist of the home. While the external sandstone walls faithfully preserve the quiet soul of the village, the interior reveals a striking dialogue between tradition and raw sophistication.
To achieve this seamless material harmony, Microtopping® was introduced to bridge the memory of ancient stone with modern structural concrete.
From the monolithic central core in reclaimed alpine timber to the iconic circular window inspired by Carlo Scarpa, every detail frames the natural landscape like high art.
An ambitious restoration of this caliber is only possible when exceptional material performance meets extraordinary craftsmanship.
A heartfelt thank you to the visionary architectural team of and to Pavi Design, whose precision and sensitivity turned complex site challenges into a timeless architectural statement.
