A light that transforms the atmosphere around it.

With its compact proportions and portable nature, Alchimie Lamp introduces a luminous presence that feels both intimate and sculptural. An object whose character emerges through the interplay of light, shadow and the space it inhabits. 
When illuminated, its form acquires a new expressive intensity. The surrounding darkness becomes part of the composition, allowing the lamp to assert its identity without imposing itself.

What happens when light interacts with materials that do more than reflect it, altering the way it is perceived?

Alchimie begins with a reflection on the oxymoron: the encounter of two seemingly opposite ideas. Here, it is the tension between the real and the alchemical. Between the precision of geometry and the unpredictability of matter.

In the enamelling process, glass powder becomes the starting point for a new material expression. Transformed through fire and experimentation, it takes on colours, transparencies and textures that recall marble and precious stones.

The lamp is built from simple geometric volumes, held together by a champagne-coloured hexagonal ring. When the light comes on, its precise geometry seems to soften. Light passes through the glass and meets the enamelled surfaces, revealing layers, subtle variations and textures that seem almost alive.
This is where the alchemy happens: in the balance between what is designed and what cannot be completely controlled.

Alchimie continues the research begun with Ossimori, bringing Incalmi and Debonademeo together once again in a dialogue between reality and imagination, geometry and matter.

A month at Casa Sanlorenzo, told through the spaces that welcomed Ossimori and Specola.

For Homo Faber in Città 2026, Ca’ Riflesso by Artemest brought contemporary craftsmanship into an environment imagined as a collector’s home, where objects, surfaces and architecture came together in a cohesive narrative.

Here, Ossimori, born from the collaboration with debonademeo, and Specola, designed by Zanellato/Bortotto, presented new finishes created in response to the interiors of Casa Sanlorenzo.

The layered glass of Ossimori, the enamelled copper of Specola, transparencies, reflections and colour found in the space not simply a setting, but an integral part of the project: elements that shift with the light, the point of view and their surroundings.

On the final day of Homo Faber in Città 2026, these images reveal the project in its most complete dimension: no longer individual objects, but presences in dialogue with the place for which the new finishes were created.

In Specola, colour is never an absolute presence. It shifts with the light, responds to reflections and reveals different nuances depending on the point of view.

This distinctive quality of enamel on copper informs the new finish of the lamp designed by Zanellato/Bortotto for Incalmi. At Casa Sanlorenzo, the palette was defined in harmony with the tones of the interiors, allowing light to continually transform its perception.

The copper reflector is coated with vitreous powders and subjected to the high-fire enamelling technique, which introduces an element of unpredictability, creating variations in colour and texture that make each surface unique.

It is precisely through this interplay of variability and light that Specola reveals its nature: not simply illuminating a space, but allowing the space itself to alter its presence.

Presented at Ca’ Riflesso by Artemest on the occasion of Homo Faber in Città 2026, the new finish of Specola Lamp reveals a further expression of Incalmi’s exploration of fire enamel on copper. Created in response to the interiors of Casa Sanlorenzo, it will become a permanent part of the collection.

At Casa Sanlorenzo, Ossimori encounters the space through colour.
For the collection’s coffee tables, designed by Incalmi and debonademeo, the new finish was shaped in response to the tones and character of the interiors, seeking a balance that complements the architecture without compromising the identity of the objects.

This principle lies at the heart of Ossimori. Different materials come together through sensory and perceptual contrasts: handcrafted glass meets enamelled copper, while transparencies, textures and reflections alter the way the objects inhabit the space.

In the coffee tables, this exploration unfolds on a more intimate scale. Two sizes, 60 and 80 centimetres, articulate the same language, strengthening the relationship between material and its surroundings.

Created for Casa Sanlorenzo, this chromatic interpretation now extends the language of Ossimori and, following its debut at Ca’ Riflesso by Artemest for Homo Faber in Città 2026, will become a permanent part of the Incalmi collection.

Some projects reveal the possibilities of a system better than any statement of intent. Allegretto is one of them.

In the reinterpretation by Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi, created with Incalmi, Maniera becomes the starting point for a highly personal expression.
The designer alters and manipulates its surface. Three-dimensional elements in enamelled copper, each different from the next, introduce colour, imperfection and contrast, transforming it into a composition with a distinctly individual character.

Allegretto thus reveals one of Maniera’s defining qualities: its ability to accommodate different interpretations within a modular framework, allowing material, configuration and design sensibility to reshape its expression each time.
The project not only presents one possible interpretation of Maniera, but embodies the very principle on which the system is based: providing an open framework for personalisation and change.

Selected as one of the ten finalists of the fourth edition of the La Grande Bellezza Prize by Starhotels, dedicated this year to the theme “Il Bello dell’Utile”, Allegretto is on display at Hotel Gabrielli Venezia - Starhotels Collezione until 15 October 2026, alongside the other finalist works.

A colour can belong to an object. Or it can emerge from the place it was created for.
The new finish of the Ossimori Console, designed by debonademeo, stems from this very relationship. Presented at Casa Sanlorenzo, it was conceived in response to the space, allowing material, colour and architecture to find a shared balance.

Layers of artisanal glass overlap transparencies and textures, creating a perceptual interplay that shifts with the viewer’s point of view.

In this new interpretation, the finish is not an isolated element, but a presence carefully attuned to its surroundings, conceived to complement their identity and contribute to the harmony of the whole.
Created for Ca’ Riflesso by Artemest on the occasion of Homo Faber in Città 2026, it will become part of the Incalmi collection.

When beauty and function cease to be separate categories, an object takes on a new meaning.
Allegretto, a work by Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi created with Incalmi, is among the ten finalists of the fourth edition of the La Grande Bellezza Prize by Starhotels, dedicated this year to the theme “Il Bello dell’Utile”.

The project explores the relationship between aesthetics and function through a composition in which material, colour and three-dimensionality become part of a single language. Enamelled copper elements create a decorative surface that extends beyond the object itself, suggesting a space to inhabit and imagine.

This reflection now finds its place at Hotel Gabrielli in Venice, where Allegretto is on display alongside the other finalist works, within a context dedicated to Italian craftsmanship and its ability to translate tradition into contemporary design culture.

This September, Incalmi joins Homo Faber in Città 2026 through two expressions of its material research.

At Ca’ Riflesso, presented by Artemest at Casa Sanlorenzo, Ossimori - developed with debonademeo - and Specola - designed by Zanellato/Bortotto - reveal new colours and finishes created for the occasion and destined to become an integral part of each collection.

The Ossimori coffee table and bookcase, alongside the Specola table lamp, interpret the new palette through different relationships between material, colour and form.
Two distinct identities, united by the same approach to making: one in which craftsmanship becomes a field for experimentation, and material a means of exploring new possibilities.

Set within a project dedicated to the master craftspeople of Venice and the Veneto region, their presence reflects a culture deeply rooted in its territory while continually looking towards new forms of expression.

Some places have the ability to add new meaning to a work. In Venice, Venice Refracted encounters the spaces of Hotel Danieli.

Developed in Murano, the project grew out of the collaboration between Incalmi and James Robertson, bringing creative expression and manufacturing expertise together through three works: Deconstructed Light, Echoes and Between Worlds.

Three works, three interpretations of a shared exploration, in which glass becomes a medium through which to observe Venice from different perspectives.
Today, they find their place at the Danieli, a symbol of Venetian hospitality and an exceptional setting for a project deeply connected to the city where it originated.
