This September, Incalmi joins Homo Faber in Città 2026 through two expressions of its material research.

At Ca’ Riflesso, presented by Artemest at Casa Sanlorenzo, Ossimori - developed with debonademeo - and Specola - designed by Zanellato/Bortotto - reveal new colours and finishes created for the occasion and destined to become an integral part of each collection.

The Ossimori coffee table and bookcase, alongside the Specola table lamp, interpret the new palette through different relationships between material, colour and form.
Two distinct identities, united by the same approach to making: one in which craftsmanship becomes a field for experimentation, and material a means of exploring new possibilities.

Set within a project dedicated to the master craftspeople of Venice and the Veneto region, their presence reflects a culture deeply rooted in its territory while continually looking towards new forms of expression.

Ca’ Riflesso by Artemest at Homo Faber in Città 2026. An immersive project that brings the world of Italian craftsmanship to life with Venetian artistry at its heart.

Some places have the ability to add new meaning to a work. In Venice, Venice Refracted encounters the spaces of Hotel Danieli.

Developed in Murano, the project grew out of the collaboration between Incalmi and James Robertson, bringing creative expression and manufacturing expertise together through three works: Deconstructed Light, Echoes and Between Worlds.

Three works, three interpretations of a shared exploration, in which glass becomes a medium through which to observe Venice from different perspectives.
Today, they find their place at the Danieli, a symbol of Venetian hospitality and an exceptional setting for a project deeply connected to the city where it originated.

This September, Incalmi’s research moves across Venice, inhabiting three places: Casa Sanlorenzo, Hotel Danieli and Hotel Gabrielli.

Three coordinates, each revealing a different expression of a creative vision spanning design, art and contemporary craftsmanship.

At Homo Faber in Città 2026, Ossimori and Specola reveal new colours and finishes conceived for the occasion. At Hotel Danieli, Venice Refracted brings together Incalmi and James Robertson through three works developed in Murano. At Hotel Gabrielli, Allegretto, a work by Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi created with Incalmi, is on display as part of the fourth edition of the La Grande Bellezza Prize by Starhotels.

Three places. Three perspectives on material. One September in Venice.

There are projects that are never confined to a single form. They continue to evolve, opening new ways of interpreting material.

Specola, the collection designed by Zanellato/Bortotto, is enriched with new finishes developed for Homo Faber in Città 2026, to be presented at Ca’ Riflesso by Artemest, at Casa Sanlorenzo. An evolution that will become part of the collection, expanding its expressive possibilities.

More than simple colour variations, these are new interpretations of a project where light, copper and vitreous enamel continue to interact, revealing a different balance each time.

For Incalmi, every collection remains an open project - able to evolve without ever losing its identity.

There is a profound intimate relationship between Venice and material. A relationship shaped by light, reflections and transformation, which continues to inspire the way Incalmi approaches colour.

From this dialogue comes a new interpretation of Ossimori, the collection created on Murano glass sheets. A new palette developed for an upcoming international event dedicated to contemporary craftsmanship, destined to become part of the Incalmi collection.

Before becoming an expression of design, every shade undergoes a long process of experimentation. It is observed, refined and recomposed until light and material reach a balance capable of revealing depth, reflections and new expressive possibilities.

It is within this quiet gesture that the Incalmi vision takes shape.

Every collaboration begins with an encounter of visions, languages and materials.
Developed in Murano, Venice Refracted brings together the research of Incalmi and James Robertson in a dialogue where creative expression and manufacturing expertise converge across three works conceived as different expressions of a shared investigation.

Deconstructed Light, Echoes and Between Worlds are the first chapters of this new history.

For now, just a preview. The rest will reveal itself in time.

Forms shaped by material.

Koya - the coffee table designed by Federica Biasi with Incalmi - stems from an exploration of natural fibres, where making becomes a way of thinking and craftsmanship a tool for design.

Its rattan base, inspired by the archetypal basket structure, reinterprets traditional knowledge through a contemporary lens, balancing heritage, experimentation and material intelligence.
The project extends beyond the object itself through Koya. Hands to Weave, a publication that traces years of research into materials, forms and processes, revealing the cultural depth behind the design.

Selected by The Good Life Italia (curator: Federica Sala), Koya is part of a broader reflection on design as a practice of meaning-making - long before it becomes form.

Vitreous enamel on copper is one of the most significant expressions of Incalmi’s material research: a process in which fire becomes an instrument of transformation, capable of generating unique surfaces, depths, and irreplicable tonal variations.

This exploration arrives in London with Play With Fire, the installation hosted at the Moroso Flagship Store during Clerkenwell Design Week 2026 - one of the leading international events dedicated to contemporary design. A narrative that brings together research and artisanal savoir-faire, exploring the moment in which matter changes state, character, and meaning.

Within this narrative, Mangiafuoco, developed in dialogue with Zanellato/Bortotto, is part of a broader reflection on the relationship between materials, metamorphosis and design. A shared vision in which design takes shape between thought and craftsmanship.

How do you give form to something that is constantly changing?

The green of the maritime pines. The light moving through Villa Medici - Villa Médicis. The shifting tones that evolve throughout the day.

For Il cielo in una stanza, conceived by Zanellato/Bortotto, these elements were translated into a surface of high-fired enameled copper, becoming matter, colour and depth.

Composed of 616 tiles crafted by Incalmi, the wall accompanies the staircase as a continuous presence, reflecting the atmosphere of the place while becoming an integral part of its architecture.

Created to endure over time, the intervention transforms light, landscape and memory into a permanent presence.

Project partners: Moroso, Bolzan - Società Benefit, Dedar Milano, Botteganove, Del Savio 1910.
Guest room redesign partners: Fondation Nationale Banque Populaire, Tréca Paris.
Main partner of the Villa Medici redesign: Fondation Bettencourt Schueller.

For Il cielo in una stanza at Villa Medici - Villa Médicis, Incalmi collaborated with Zanellato/Bortotto in the development of the elements that define the identity of the space, transforming materials and surfaces into narrative devices.
Enameled copper enters into dialogue with travertine, while natural light moves across the surfaces, revealing their depth and nuances. Colours and reflections echo the Roman landscape surrounding Villa Medici.

From lighting elements to architectural details, every intervention contributes to the construction of a cohesive narrative. Incalmi designed and produced the custom Specola lamps, as well as the kitchen hooks and k***s. The company also crafted the tabletops for the coffee tables designed by Moroso and contributed to the development of the technical solutions for the staircase and balustrade, supporting the project through to its final ex*****on.

Each piece helps establish a continuity between interior and exterior, architecture and nature, translating the design language conceived for the room into space.
A project in which form and matter are not mere decoration, but an integral part of the narrative.
