🌸✨ Our Work Café is in full bloom for this year’s Jersey Battle of Flowers! ✨🌸

We’re delighted to be part of the Town Takeover, where local businesses have teamed up with float designers to bring a splash of floral magic to the high street. Our display is inspired by the Parish of St Peter’s charming English country garden float, brought to life by the creative vision of Martyn Aubert from local design agency The Idea Works.

The floral artistry of Clara Barthorp from Wilde Thyme has transformed our entrance into a vibrant and inviting archway of pink, red, and white blooms. The arrangement not only complements the historic character of the building but also offers a warm and picturesque welcome to all who pass by 🌺🌿

Wedding Season is about to begin. ✨

Event floristry can be hard on the environment. Plastic nonbiodegradeable Toxic oasis, the green floral foam used to hold stems as a water source, is STILL widely used🙈🙈🙈
It’s quick it’s easy and it’s cheap for the short term, but what about the long term ? With toxins seeping into the earth it’s dumped in, and the micro plastics that leach into waterways ?
What about the waste?

🍃🍃🍃✨🍃.
I committed in 2019 to never use oasis floral foam again. The first florist in Jersey to make such a commitment. It came after a fabulous wedding I did with a huge ceiling installation left me feeling unhappy and appalled at the non biodegradable waste we had used.

Going forward from that day on all our work, from tables to installation work is achieved using other methods- chicken wire, reuseable tubes, Agra wool. It maybe more time consuming, it maybe more costly in the short term but long term we all benefit. Also foam can be carcinogenic - no thankYOU!

Scissor scissor on the wall…. Whose the fairest of you all? hq are our queen.
Literally the best scissors for cutting multitude of stems on a daily basis.
Even the hardest woodiest stem is cut with ease and grace… the scrunched up face, the bursting fingers is a thing of the past!

It’s Earth Day on Saturday.

On Saturday 22nd 9am in our shop, I’m hosting a table arrangement workshop where I will show you a variety of ways to create beautiful flowers in different shaped vessels that are kind to the environment.

An absolute favourite.
A week when seasons met perfectly.
Ranunculus , peonies and sweetpeas.
Bridesmaid posy joy.
It won’t be long until we’re in the full swing of wedding season.
Colour and vibrancy is what 2023 is about. There are still some classic white weddings happening but there is a definite shift towards embracing colour. How it’s put together is key though and that’s what we’re good at!
We’re excited.
