Founded on the belief that design impacts all our lives in ways subtle and overt, we recognise good design is more than just good aesthetics. At KIN-DS, the method is participatory. Our team of architects works on each project, alongside engineers, builders, and most importantly: clients. The thinking goes that working collaboratively means working better: more ideas, more diversity, more experien
ce, knowledge and creativity — and more eyes to ensure no detail goes unattended. Our belief is that better buildings make for a better world. A successful building is one that improves daily life for the people who live and work around it. The central drive of our studio is to approach all projects, regardless of scale, complexity or typology with the same core values of simplicity, efficiency and empathy. In essence, our philosophy is generated by the belief that design is a response to the material and spiritual needs of people, maintaining a concern for the physical context and sensitivity to the culture and climate of place. As professionals we have a dual responsibility firstly to the clients we serve, but also to the public domain who ultimately become the many users of our designs. The design of each new project is reviewed regularly, both formally and informally, so as to meet the projects initial objectives.
