B01 designed a showroom that doubles as an active Daiwa House Group’s large logistics center in Ichikawa, where visitors can experience a next-generation logistics environment in which robots and people work together. Within the raw industrial atmosphere of the depot, the showroom forms a new spatial world that begins with a choreographed circulation route and leads to a meeting space overlooking the Intelligent Logistics Center PROTO.

The design concept, titled “Tectonic,” imagines architecture as something that appears stable yet holds dynamic potential. An undulating entry corridor builds anticipation before opening into a six-meter-high warehouse space animated by a striking folded wall created by shifting office volumes. The path continues to a plaza with interactive displays and culminates at an elevated observation platform where the entire logistics system comes into view. Designed with flexibility for future technological evolution, the space balances structure and adaptability while inviting visitors into the excitement of a rapidly changing logistics industry.

B01は、市川にある大和ハウスグループの大規模物流施設内に、ロボットと人間が協働する次世代物流環境とショールームとしても同時に機能する空間を設計しました。倉庫の工業的な荒々しい空間の中、ショールームは洗練されたエントランスから始まり、ダイナミックな動線を通って、棚エリアを見渡すミーティングスペースへと至る新たな空間を形成しています。

「テクトニック」は、不動でありながら動的な可能性を秘めた建築を彷彿させる空間設計コンセプトです。起伏に富んだエントランス回廊がアプローチを演出し、6メートルの天井高を持つ壮大な倉庫空間へと開けます。起伏は、オフィスボリュームの回転によって生み出された印象的な折り畳み壁が空間に躍動感を与えます。廊下から大型ディスプレイを備えた劇場的な広場へと続き、最終的には高台にある展望プラットフォームに至ります。そこからロボットと人間が協働する風景として物流システム全体を一望できます。将来の技術進化を見据えた柔軟性を備えたこの空間は、構造と適応性のバランスを保ちながら、急速に変化する物流業界の躍動感と可能性を表現しています。

Villa K sits deep within a primeval buna forest in Nagano, one of Japan’s heaviest snowfall regions. Designed as a true snow lodge, the villa responds to extreme winter conditions, sloping terrain, remoteness and the possibility of seasonal isolation. Natural materials, high performance insulation and energy efficiency were essential drivers, resulting in a mountain retreat that merges advanced construction technology with a sensitivity to its surrounding environment.

Wood-fiber insulation, triple-glazed windows, Hinoki structural members and custom metalwork were all carefully integrated. The exterior is fully wrapped in vertically seamed copper panels whose material life becomes part of the architecture. Over decades, the façade will shift from bright copper to brown, and eventually to a green-blue patina that blends with the forest. While the exterior transforms with time, the interior provides enduring warmth and security through meticulous detailing and craftsmanship.

緑青荘は、日本有数の豪雪地帯である長野県の原生ブナ林の奥深くにあります。スキーロッジとして設計されたこの別荘は、過酷な冬季環境であること、傾斜地に位置することや得意な僻地性から災害時にライフラインから遮断されうる可能性にも対応しています。自然素材、高性能断熱材、エネルギー効率を設計要素として取り入れ、先進的な設備や工法技術と周辺環境への配慮が融合した建築が実現しました。

木質繊維断熱材、三重ガラス窓、総ヒノキ構造材、特注金属細工がすべて慎重に統合されました。外皮は、ランダムに見えて端材が残らないように組み合わさった銅板で全面が覆われ、その素材特有の経年変化が時間を経るごとに建築の一部となります。数十年かけてファサードは明るい銅色から茶色へ、やがて森林と調和する青緑色の緑青へと変化します。外装が時と共に変容する一方、内部空間は職人の手業によってできた緻密な細部が普遍的な技巧と永続的な温もりがをかもしています。

Suna Yoneda House is a renovation of a house in Hiroshima that had accumulated four eras of renovations dating back to the Taisho period. Rather than relying on drawings or models, the project unfolded directly on site by working closely with the carpenters. We carefully peeled back layers almost like an archaeological process, subtracting where possible and adding nothing unless functionally necessary.

As the plywood surfaces were stripped away, the expressive textures of different historical periods reappeared and now coexist in a slightly uncanny but honest space. Sun-tanned earthen walls were left untouched as quiet traces of the home's lived history. A well uncovered during demolition was restored and now serves as both a household water source and an emergency supply. The renovation marks a new chapter in a family's layered memory; a healing process of preserving what mattered, removing what did not, and breathing new life into a beloved home.

広島にある「祖母の家」は、大正期から四つの時代の改修を経て複雑に積み重なった家でした。本計画では図面も模型も用いず、現場で大工と対話しながら進める方法を選びました。考古学的に一層ずつ丁寧に剥ぎ取り、必要な機能以外は新たに足さないという姿勢を大切にしています。

合板を取り除くと、さまざまな時代の下地や仕上げが現れ、それらが共存する独特の空間が姿を現しました。家具の跡で日焼けした土壁も、そのまま場所の歴史として残しました。解体中に見つかった井戸は復旧し、日常用水と非常時の水源として再生させています。
この家は、家族の記憶が重なる場として、新たな章を歩み始めました。家主にとっても、思い出を守りながら不要なものをそぎ落とし、愛する家に新しい命を吹き込む癒しのプロセスとなりました。

What if technology didn’t just serve us, but lived alongside us?

"Convivial Future" imagines a world where humans, technology, and nature coexist in a more intuitive, harmonious way. At the center of this story is Poimo, an inflatable mobility device that begins as a simple tool, then gradually becomes something more.

After discovering an item left behind by a rider, Poimo sets off on a journey across city streets, parks, and natural landscapes while fulfilling daily tasks to connect the dots, and eventually find the owner of the object. Along the way, it encounters new sights, sounds, and rhythms, learning from the world around it, and evolving from a machine of mobility into a companion.

This is just one vision of what a convivial future could be. The future is not fixed; it is something we imagine, shape, and create together, intentionally.

もしテクノロジーが単に私たちが使うものだけでなく、私たちと共に生きていたらどうでしょう？

「Convivial Future」は、人間、テクノロジー、そして自然が、より直感的で調和のとれた形で共存する世界を想像しています。その世界観を表現したこの物語の中心となるのが、ポイモという空気で膨らませる移動装置です。最初は単なる道具として始まり、やがてそれ以上の存在へと変化していきます。

ある利用者が置き忘れたものを知ったポイモは、その持ち主を探しながら、日々のタスクを点と点を繋ぐようにこなしながら、街の通りや公園、自然の風景を巡る旅に出ます。その道中、ポイモは新しい光景や音、リズムに出会い、周囲の世界から学び、単なる移動手段から、私たちの「相棒」へと進化していきます。

これは、人々が共に楽しむ未来の一つのビジョンに過ぎません。未来は決まったものではありません。それは私たちが共に想像し、形作り、意図的に創造していくものなのです。

Off an unassuming corner in Tokyo, three twinkling notes of Hakuseki's signage pull you into a soft darkness. Inside, the atmosphere settles into an understated and visually restrained tone, allowing you to focus on company, hospitality, and dramatic preparations. A single counter anchors the space, with enough room to relax comfortably while also finding a sort of intimate connection with those around. Whether you are enjoying a solitary dining evening, creating a romantic evening, or enjoying a night out with family, the experience feels both intimate and shared. Watch the chef work with precision, orchestrating fine ingredients, paired with bespoke sake and wine selections.

The interior is restrained: shadowy and elemental, with every detail considered. Food and hospitality come into focus. A subtle and refined full experience: elegantly understated, quiet conversations, and shared enjoyment of carefully prepared teppan grill cuisine and specialties.

The naming comes from chef’s surname and a famous historical figure deeply related to Iriya area. Together with the space, B01 designed the logo and signage based on that bespoke name. Please enjoy .teppanyaki !

東京のひっそりとした角を曲がると、白石の看板が放つ3つのきらめく光が、柔らかな大人な空間へと誘います。店内は控えめで視覚的にも落ち着いた雰囲気で、誰かと過ごす時間、おもてなし、または見事な調理手さばきに意識を集中させてくれます。空間の中心には一台のカウンターが据えられており、ゆったりとくつろげる十分なスペースがありながら、周囲の人々との親密なつながりも感じられます。一人での静かな夕食、ロマンチックな夜、あるいは家族との外食など、どのような場面でも親密さと共有感が共存する体験が待っています。シェフが繊細な食材を丹念に調理する様子を眺めながら、厳選された日本酒やワインと合わせて堪能できます。

店内は控えめで、影と素朴な要素が調和し、細部に至るまで配慮が払われています。料理とおもてなしが主役となる空間です。繊細で洗練されたトータルエクスペリエンス。上品な控えめさ、静かな会話、そして丹精込めて調理された鉄板焼き料理や特製メニューを共に味わう喜び。

店名は、シェフの姓と、入谷エリアと深い関わりを持つ歴史的偉人に由来しています。B01は、この独自の名称に基づき、空間デザインに加え、ロゴやサインも手掛けました。ぜひ .teppanyaki をお楽しみください！

The Island-Y Observatory is a proposal for an observation platform on the Yashima Peninsula in Shikoku, created in collaboration with Aaat Inc. Overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, the project aims to serve both as a panoramic lookout and as a new landmark rooted in the peninsula’s rich geological and historical character. The design integrates architecture, structure, landscape and public space into a single gesture that continues the natural plateau up to its architectural peak.

A stepped, lightweight exterior skin wraps the structure, allowing visitors to sit, climb and find their own vantage point before reaching the upper deck. The form is generated through ruled surfaces that create a birdcage-like system of straight vertical members and curved horizontal steps, providing seismic stability and multiple efficiencies. Made of porous, light materials, the structure filters sunlight like foliage, while a glazed inner layer ensures environmental control. Throughout, the design offers a continuous observation experience from every surface, reinforcing a seamless connection between the landform and the sea.

Y島展望台は、四国某所のコンペで、Aaat Inc.の高塚章夫氏とコラボしてできた提案でした。瀬戸内海を見渡すこのプロジェクトは、パノラマ展望台としての機能と、半島の豊かな地質・歴史的特性に根ざした新たなランドマークとしての役割を兼ね備えています。設計では、建築・構造・景観・公共空間を一つのシンプルな所作で統合し、自然の台地の地形を建築の上層部へと連続させる構想でした。

階段状の構造体が全体を包み込み、訪問者は上層デッキに到達する過程の中で、座ったり登ったりしながら人それぞれがが居心地が良いと感じたり、見晴らしが良いと思う場所を見つけることができます。鳥かごを思わせる直線的な垂直部材と曲線的な水平段からなる構造は、曲面体を構成していて、耐震性と効率性を両立しています。内外の境界線は、階段とガラス面で構成され、軽やかで透過性のある外殻は、中に入ってくる日光を森林の木陰のように演出してくれます。あらゆる面から連続した眺望体験を提供し、地形と海をシームレスに繋ぐ設計となっています。

Designing for the Shikoku Henro means thinking at the scale of the journey, but especially with a focus to human scale.

To make sure we were truly meeting the needs of those walking the trail, we built a full-scale mockup of a sleeping compartment. It's a compact sleeping unit within the hostel. It gave us the chance to test the dimensions and the feeling of the space. It is crucial that it will support rest, privacy, and recovery after a long day on foot.

These small moments matter. A place to sleep along the Henro path is part of the rhythm of the pilgrimage.

By building and refining at 1:1 scale, we gained confidence that our design would achieve comfort and care.

We look forward to offering a refreshing, supportive place of rest for all those passing through.

四国巡礼のためのデザインとは、旅というスケールで考えることですが、とりわけ「人のスケール」に重点を置くことです。

巡礼路を歩く人々のニーズを確実に満たすため、私たちはコンパートメントの実物大モックアップを作成しました。これはホステル内に設置される予定のコンパクトな個人向け寝台ユニットです。これにより、空間の寸法や雰囲気を検証する機会を得ることができました。長い一日の歩行の後に、休息、プライバシー、そして快眠をサポートできることが極めて重要です。

こうした瞬間こそが重要です。巡礼路沿いの寝床は、巡礼のリズムの一部なのです。

実物大で製作し、改良を重ねることで、私たちのデザインが快適さと配慮を実現できるという確信を得ることができます。こえからも。

ここを訪れるすべての老若男女に、リフレッシュして心安らぐ休息の場を提供できることを望んでいます。

Shin-Minato BASE is a small-scale, multi-functional home-care facility built on part of a former junior high school site near Toyama Bay. With a new streetcar station planned nearby and the route serving as a path for high school students, the building layout was shaped by the idea of creating a pedestrian passage through the site. Together with the client, B01 developed a plan that balances welfare needs with spatial clarity, natural light and connection to the outdoors. High clerestory windows bring in soft daylight, while a timber deck provides a gentle transition between inside and outside.

Architecturally, the facility was designed to be as compact and low in volume as possible to harmonize with the surrounding residential neighborhood. Snow-region resilience, clear internal sightlines and a modest exterior were also key considerations. As the first phase of a larger vision, the project anticipates future additions such as a day-service center, apartments, study spaces, a universal dining hall and a vegetable garden. The long-term goal is to cultivate a place where multiple generations naturally gather, forming a model for community coexistence

やっしゃっけ新湊BASEは、富山湾に面した旧中学校跡地の一部に建設された小規模多機能型在宅介護施設です。近隣に路面電車の新駅が計画され、その路線が高校生たちの通学路となることから、敷地内を通る歩行者通路の活気創出をコンセプトに建物のレイアウトが設計されました。クライアントと協働し、B01は福祉ニーズと空間の明快さ、自然光、屋外との繋がりを両立させる計画を策定しました。高窓が柔らかな日差しを取り込み、木製デッキが室内と屋外を緩やかに繋ぎます。

建築的には、周辺住宅街に調和するため可能な限りコンパクトで低層なボリュームを追求しました。降雪地域への耐性、内部の視認性確保、控えめな外観も重要な検討要項でした。大規模構想の第一段階として、デイサービスセンター、アパートメント、学習スペース、ユニバーサルダイニングホール、菜園などの将来的な拡張を見据えています。長期的な目標は、複数の世代が自然に集う場を育み、地域共生のモデルを形成することです。
