From scraps to a new story ✨

Made this bag from leftover fabrics. Blue Fujisan motif fabric is made in Japan cotton, left over from coasters I made maybe 6/7 years ago. Red fabric is Jim Thompson Thai silk from the red silk dress posted last week.

It’s a Japanese Knot Bag—designed to be worn by looping the handle. Simple and practical without a zipper. Even better, it’s fully reversible, so you get two looks in one bag ♻️.

What started as small pieces, has now become something you can carry every day 🌿

With every stitch tells a story—about the process, about not letting materials go to waste, and about giving new life to fabric that was almost didn't make it to the main shine.

Simple, unique, and meaningful 🤍

Oh, and not to mention, how happy I was when Mrs. A sent me a photo of her wearing this to her daughter's graduation ceremony. So proud and honoured!

Tunic dress for Mrs. A

Had the honor to sew for the second time for Mrs. A.
A tunic dress using Thai silk fabric from Jim Thompson.
I think this simple yet elegant design complementing the enchanting shine of the silk.

チーバくん大好き！💟❤️

チーバくん大好きなうちの1年生さんの娘の為に学校に持って行くぞうきんにかがり刺繍をしてみました。

まあまあ悪くはないですね。😅
でも、やっぱり9ヶ月ぐらいもお休みしていて、(ひどい片頭痛でミシンからちょっと離れまして)、手と頭のコーデイネシオンがちょっと悪いって言うか、思いどうり行き先に行くのは難しい💦。上手く動けないですよね。。手が。。笑！

またちょっと慣れるまでいっぱい練習しなきゃー！

Darning embroidery on zoukin (piece of cloth use for cleaning) for my first grader to bring to school.
She loves Chiba-kun. Chiba prefecture's mascot.

The result.. Well, it's not bad at all, is it? 😅
But I guess, about 9 months of hiatus did take a toll. (I had to step away from the sewing machine for a while due to a severe migraine). A bit struggle on the hands and brain coordination department. LOL!

Well, Looks like I have to keep practicing until I get used to the hang of it again.
