The sake is typically served in ceramic cups. The cups used for drinking sake are generally small cylindrical vessels called O-Choko. The server of a sake set is a flask called a Tokkuri. A Tokkuri is generally bulbous with a narrow neck.

A sake set (酒器, Shuki) consists of the flask and cups used to serve sake.

Edo Kiriko, as the name suggests, is a traditional craft created by glass craftsman Kyubei Kagaya in Nihonbashi at the end of the Edo period. The patterns that symbolize the Edo culture are expressed by cutting colored glass. At KAGAKO, we do not use crystal or other glass containing lead, which has a high environmental impact, but use soda glass made from natural sand to produce Edo faceting with our own unique techniques. All processes are done by hand, but there are two unique techniques that are particularly important. The first is the cutting technique, which expresses delicate patterns, and the second is the polishing technique, which achieves a transparent shine.

Wajima-nuri (輪島塗り) Lacquerware Soup Bowl, set of 5

Confectionery store "Demachi Futaba" 😀

This is my one of the favorite Confectionery store in Kyoto called "Demachi Futaba".

One of their popular cakes was Daifuku mochi. Wrapped with Shiga sweet cakes made from glutinous rice, the contents inside are mixed with red beans from Furano, in Hokkaido and red bean paste from Tokachi, in Hokkaido. That is "Demachi Futaba" 's flagship product, well-known "Mame-mochi".

’Inban’ printed porcelain is from the Meiji era (around 1870-1910).

The copper and a paper pattern were used to print the pieces. Its geometric and flower and birds patterns create a unique and sophisticated impression.

Some of their patterns look blurry than the others, which is part of the characteristic of 'inban' printing.
