[RECIPE] In a Wrap: Salad Leaves with Chinese Crepes, Peking Duck-style

Serve the herbs with Peking duck-style chicken and Chinese crepes.
Steaming crepes brings out their delightfully chewy texture, while pan-frying adds a fragrant finish. Wrapped together with seasonal vegetables and fillings, they become a celebration of the season.

⁠
◾️ Chinese Crepes
- 200g bread flour
- 130-140ml boiling water
- A pinch of salt
- 2 teaspoons of neutral oil (such as rice oil, vegetable oil)

◾️ Peking duck-style chicken
- 2 pieces (about 500g) chicken thigh
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of five spice powder

◾️ Sauce (mix all ingredients well)
- 2 tablespoons of tianmianjiang (sweet bean sauce)
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil

KINTO STORE Event Report
理想の質感と、その背景を紐解く時間

中目黒の緑が鮮やかさを増す5月下旬。開店前のKINTO REC STORE Tokyoにて、Futoの「綿麻ワッフル生地」の背景を紐解き、滋賀ゆかりのお茶とお菓子を味わうイベントを開催いたしました。

前半は開発担当者とともに、一枚の布が製品になるまでの道のりをご紹介。試行錯誤を重ねた試作の生地や糸に実際に触れていただき、職人の手仕事や歴史に思いを馳せる時間となりました。後半は、滋賀の自社農園でつくったハーバルティーと、同じく滋賀産の木苺を使ったメレンゲのお菓子をご用意。Futoのおしぼりとともにお茶を味わいながらお話しし、店内でのお買い物を愉しんでいただきました。

背景にある物語や作り手の想いを知ることが、日常の道具を大切に使うきっかけになれば幸いです。
今回ご参加いただけなかった皆様も、ぜひ次回の開催を楽しみにお待ちください。

KINTO STORE Event Report
A time to discover the story behind the ideal texture.

In late May, as the greenery in Nakameguro grows more vibrant, we held a special event at KINTO REC STORE Tokyo before opening hours. We explored the stories behind Futo's Cotton linen waffle, while enjoying tea and sweets connected to Shiga.

During the first half, our product developer shared the journey of how a single piece of cloth becomes a product. Guests held the trial fabrics and threads from our trial-and-error process, connecting with the history and artisan craftsmanship.

In the second half, we served HERBAL TEA from our farm in Shiga, along with meringues made from Shiga raspberries. Guests enjoyed conversations over tea with the Futo wet towel, and spent a wonderful time shopping in the store.

We hope that learning about the stories and the thoughts of the makers will inspire you to cherish your everyday tools. For those who could not join us this time, we look forward to welcoming you at our next event.

This event offers an opportunity to enjoy shopping and experiences at a private KINTO STORE together with our staff.
