耳付のボトル | 永木卓
装飾を極力排除することでガラスが生み出す曲線美を追求してきた永木さん。
本展では耳付の作品をお披露目しています。
癖がない佇まいが永木さんの作品の特徴と考えていましたが、耳が付くことでオブジェとしての深みが増した印象です。
継続して作品をお取り扱いする中で
心境の変化が作品の進化へと繋がっているのに
気がつけた時は嬉しいもの。

Bottle with Lugs (Ears) | Taku Eiki
Mr. Eiki has continually pursued the beautiful curves inherent in glass by eliminating decoration to the absolute minimum.
In this exhibition, he is unveiling new works featuring "ears" (small handles or lugs).
We have always considered a clean, unpretentious presence to be the defining characteristic of Mr. Eiki's work.
However, the addition of these "ears" gives the impression of added depth, transforming them into true objets d'art.
As we continue to carry his pieces, it is a profound joy to notice how changes in his state of mind lead to the evolution of his creations.
We would be delighted to share this moving experience with all of you.
Today is the regular closing day for Shirokanedai AMAHARE.
