アカデミー賞ノミネーターや著名人が集う、クロージングイベント 「DPA Diamond Lounge」 にて、”soubou 想紡” .story さんとご一緒させていただきました。

今回ご提案したのは、襖紙を素材に仕立てた屏風とタペストリー。
「ふすま」という、日本人なら誰もが知るあの建具の紙が、インテリアアイテムとして生まれ変わると、空間に静かな存在感と物語が宿ります。

素材そのものは変わらなくても、形を変えることで、使い方と出会い方が変わる。
そんな「新しい設えのかたち」を、世界のステージで発信できたことを嬉しく思います。

We had the pleasure of joining “soubou” .story at the “DPA Diamond Lounge,” a closing event attended by Academy Award nominees and celebrities.

For this event, we presented folding screens and tapestries crafted from FUSUMA paper. When fusuma—the paper used in those sliding doors familiar to every Japanese person—is reborn as an interior item, it imbues the space with a quiet presence and a sense of history. Even if the material itself remains the same, changing its form alters how it is used and experienced.

I am delighted to have been able to share this “new form of interior design” on the world stage.

葛飾北斎の「赤富士」は、遥かフランクフルトの地においても、その壮大な迫力を確かに届けられたと確信しております。

Drawing inspiration from the works of Japan’s most celebrated artists, we have created interior panels that bring an overwhelming sense of presence to any space—a masterpiece born from the perfect fusion of high-precision inkjet printing technology, specially formulated fusuma paper, and the masterful craftsmanship of mounting artisans who transform these elements into stunning interior pieces.
We are confident that Katsushika Hokusai’s “Red Fuji” has successfully conveyed its majestic power even to the distant city of Frankfurt.

江戸期の文人・石山丈山が終の栖として建てた詩仙堂を、生誕の地安城市に再現した丈山苑。
丈山の感性をしのぶ丈山苑の襖・障子の張替えをお手伝いさせていただきました。

Jōzan-en is a recreation of Shisendo—the hermitage built by the Edo-period scholar and poet Ishiyama Jōzan as his final retreat—located in his birthplace of Anjo City.
We had the privilege of assisting with the replacement of FUSUMA (the sliding doors) and SHOJI (paper screens) at Jōzan-en, a place that evokes Jōzan’s artistic sensibility.

2月6日から10日まで、フランクフルトで開催された Ambiente 2026 に今年も出展いたしました。
北斎の額をはじめ、格子と障子紙を用いたパネルを取り入れた展示をお届けしました。
今年は何もない空間から壁を立て、什器をつくり、私たちが考える「美しい」空間を一から作り上げることができました。ブース全体が弊社のサンプルであるかのように、Ambiente の会場において異彩を放ちながらも、日本的なシンプルさと温もりが共存する空間をお見せできたと感じています。
ご一緒した2社の皆様のご協力、ディレクションを担ってくださったレジスタのお二人、現地でお力添えいただいた皆さん、そしてJETROパートナーのご支援——すべての縁が織り重なり、この空間が生まれました。心より感謝申し上げます。
　
これからも、国内・国外という境界を自らの手で引くことなく、日本を含む世界中の方々へ、いまだこの国に息づく素晴らしいマテリアル、それを形にする技術、そして関わるすべての人の温もりを、広く伝え続けてまいります。
「和を通して、日々の生活に彩りを」
確かな職人の技と、海をも越える新たな価値を掛け合わせ、100年後へとつながる挑戦を歩み続けます。

We presented an exhibition featuring Hokusai art panel and panels incorporating latticework and shoji paper.

This year, we built walls from scratch in an empty space, crafted fixtures, and created our vision of a "beautiful" space from the ground up. We believe we succeeded in presenting a space where Japanese simplicity and warmth coexist, one that stood out at the Ambiente venue while feeling as though the entire booth itself was our sample collection.

This space was born from the interwoven connections of everyone involved: the cooperation of the two companies who joined us, the direction provided by the two members of Regista, the support of everyone who assisted us on-site, and the backing of our JETRO partners.

We express our heartfelt gratitude.
Moving forward, we will continue to share—without drawing boundaries between domestic and international—the wonderful materials still thriving in this country, the techniques that shape them, and the warmth of everyone involved, with people around the world, including Japan.

Combining the reliable skills of artisans with new value that transcends oceans, we will continue our journey of challenges that connect to the next 100 years.
